Song: Bust Your Windows- Jazmine Sullivan.
Dareen
"Hey, girls." I smiled approaching them.
"Hey!" They beamed.
"How's that cutie pie?" I giggled placing my hand on Christina's tummy.
"She'll kill me. I didn't sleep all night." She groaned.
"You'll get married after you give birth?" Rose asked and Christina nodded.
"I wanted to make the wedding before I give birth, but my stomach was already big." She sighed.
"It doesn't matter as long as you're together." I smiled.
"That's what Harry says." She nodded in agreement.
"Isn't that Ethan? I still can't believe that he's Elliot's brother!" Rose exclaimed changing the subject.
"Wait here." I sighed.
"What are going to do?" Christina asked, but I ignored her making my way over to him.
"Ethan," I called out.
"What?" He rolled his eyes as all his friends eyed me.
"Can we talk for a second?"
"About?" He raised a brow taking a drag of his cigarette.
"This?" I snatched the cigarette from between his lips.
"What do you think you're doing?!" He screamed as I stomped on it.
"Guys, will you give us a minute?" I turned to his group of friends who looked at each others for a second before walking away.
"I asked you a question!" He yelled.
"Elliot won't be so happy if he knew that he's back to smoking!" I raised an accusing finger at him.
"So, you're threatening me? Well, go do what in hell you want. I don't care. It's just a cigarette not weed!"
"You know that this is the beginning of everything!" I yelled.
"Even if it's true, what does it have to do with you?!" He fired back.
"It affects my relationship with your brother! I feel like you're stealing him from me!" I confessed.
"He's all yours if that's what you're asking for!" He rolled his eyes.
"Then, you won't stop?"
"No."
"Fine!" I nodded through my teeth.
Pulling me back, he slammed me against the wall making me gasp.
"Crazy, you are?!" I screamed pushing him back.
"That's my last warning. Bite your tongue."
"You don't talk to me like that!" I glared at him.
"What's going on?" Two security guards approached us.
"Sir, he hit her! We all saw him!" Rose said from behind him.
"Come with me to the dean, and you." He pointed at her and Christina.
"Happy, now?!" He snapped.
"Shut your mouth!"
----------
"Sir, it was just a misunderstadment!" Ethan repeated.
"There's a video that shows what exactly happened. Now, stay quiet." The dean said sternly as someone knocked on the door.
"Come in!" He yelled as Elliot stepped in.
This is shit.
My boss who's my boyfriend is here to solve my problem. Well, he's not here for me exactly, but still, it sounds awful.
"Hello Sir, I'm Elliot Evans." He shook the dean's hand. He looked so annoyed, and I felt like he would snap any moment.
"You don't have to introduce yourself. Please take a seat." He smiled at him.
"Thank you. May I know what's the problem?" He turned to look at us. Me.
"There was a misunderstandment between your brother and Miss Isaac. Things got out of control, and Ethan nearly hit her."
"Oh-" He turned to look at us.
"She came to me, and started provoking me!" Ethan lashed out.
"I didn't give you permission to tell me what do you think!"
"Sir, I'm sorry for their actions, both of them. Dareen is my assistant, and I believe there was a misunderstandment, but of course you can give them the punishment that you see fits."
"Excuse me, sir." I spoke up, "I was just talking, and I didn't know that this is considered a crime, but if it counts as a mistake, then I'm responsible of my own actions. Mister Evans is my boss, but not my guardian!" I glared at him.
"Watch your tone, miss. You're not going to yell in my office!" The dean glared at me, and I had to fight the urge to roll my eyes.
Are they serious?
"I'll let it go this time, but next time your punishment will be great. Miss Isaac, I won't remind you that to have your scholarship, you shouldn't cause any problems."
"I know, sir." I nodded.
"Thanks for understanding, sir. I'll make sure that it'll never happen again. Thanks for your time." Elliot stood up shaking his hands again.
"It was a pleasure to meet you, sir."
"Excuse me." Elliot nodded motionning for us to walk out before him.
"Bye." Was all I said as I walked towards my car.
"To my car. Both of you!" He ordered.
"I have my car, and I can't be late to my work more than this." I sighed crossing my arms.
"Dareen." Christina called out walking clumsily towards me.
"Hey, Christina." Elliot greeted shaking her hand.
"Hey, sorry for cutting you off." She said awkwardly.
"Do you need anything?" I asked her ignoring Ethan who kept rolling his eyes non stop.
"Actually, Rose had to leave and Harry is at work, and I don't have my car cause he won't let me drive like this, so can you drive me home?"
"Of course." I nodded. "I can't leave her like this." I told Elliot.
"I'll wait for you in my office." He said, but I just ignored him as I got in my car.
"He looks intimidating when he's mad." Christina turned to me once I sped out of the driveway.
"He's letting his anger out on me in stead of his brother." I rolled my eyes.
"I still can't understand what happened."
"They're a pair of psychos- no wonder they're brothers." I rolled my eyes making her giggle.
"No seriously, I can't believe what he said to the dean!" I exclaimed as I stopped at the red light.
"What did he say?"
"That he's my boss and responsible for my actions! Bullshit."
"You're kidding?"
"I wish I was, but no. Does he think that I'm a nine year old with pig tails for fuck's sake?!" I yelled.
"My ears." She scrunched her nose.
"Whatever."
"Ah- lighten up a bit. It's over, now." She poked my cheek.
"I'm getting sick of them. Now, we'll fight because of that bitch!"
"Try to be calm, and don't turn it to a fight. It's under your control."
"I'll try." I sighed. "When's your due date?" I turned to her.
"By the end of the week." She smiled placing her hand on her belly.
"Does it hurt?"
"My excitement is greater than my pain." She smiled as I stopped the car.
"Okay, mummy. Go before I get fired." I giggled as she got out of the car.
---------
"May I know what exactly happened?" "Do you think that this is the right place?" I sighed crossing my arms over my chest.
"He didn't talk, and I need to understand or I swear to God, I'll go back to the dean and know what is it exactly!"
"He's back to smoking, and when I told him that you won't like it one bit, he slammed me against the wall just like you do when you're mad." I felt my eyes full of fire, and Elliot stood there for a second not able to reply.
"You should've told me without telling him." Was his answer.
"Seriously?" I glared at him. "Well, I made what I thought was right, and I didn't know that the abusive side of him will get out. Well, it's not really the first time that he lays his hand on me, and still, you're blaming me. That's not what I thought rich gentlemen of high class do. But again, if you think that I'm to blame, then sorry. Now, excuse me." I sighed walking past him and out of the room.
"Get a vitamin for him because he can't think straight." I told Maria before walking to my office and slamming the door shut, but he held it open.
Not giving him much attention, I sat behind my desk, and switched on my laptop.
"I'm sorry." He finally sighed.
"Go back to your work because I don't think that you mean it, now."
"Dareen," He tried to hold my hand, but I moved it away.
"You're not giving our relationship much attention for a while, now, but I didn't utter a word to blame you because I understand how is it hard for you. I'm also sustaining your harsh treatment and the fact that you're searching for a fight, but I won't sustain the fact that you're blaming me because I'm trying to keep this thing going. If you want this thing to stop, just say it." I sighed.
"Of course not." He shook his head.
"Take your time and think. I'd want to know your answer later."
"As you like." He sighed with a shrug before walking out and slamming the door shut.
