"So?" Sandra started with a childish grin on her face.
"So?" I turned to her.
"I liked that Dareen girl. She's so shy, but pretty."
"She's not so shy around normal people, but you practically broke her in a hug without even knowing her."
"You're going to tease me about it? Well, it's just me. I can't keep masking that plastic face all the time." She poked my cheek.
"Masking it is better that acting like an idiot!" I teased.
"You're so annoying, and..." She rolled her eyes trailing off.
"And?"
"You'll tell papa." She shook her head making me laugh out loud.
"Bien sûr." I answered in french just to tease her.
"Your accent sucks." She scrunched her nose as I stopped the car.
"You were my teacher." I chuckled getting out of the car as she did.
"I wanted to tease you, but you keep on teasing me. That's so annoying!"
"Shh- watch your language, young lady." I pushed the door open, and she just rolled her eyes.
"Oh you're back! Sandra, I miss you." Ethan wrapped her in a hug.
"Linda," I called out walking past him.
"She went to get something from the market." Ethan answered me.
"I'm going to change." I refused to look at him or answer him. I promised to ignore him till he fixes what he has done, and I won't break that promise.
"What's wrong?" I heard Sandra whispering to him, but I ignored them and stepped into my room.
--------
"I love that!" Sandra exclaimed with her mouth filled with food.
"I made it specially for you." Linda smiled.
"How's Uni.?" She poked Ethan's side, and my eyes met his.
"Good." He nodded looking at me.
"Do you know someone who needs employees, Sandra?" I asked not breaking the eye contact.
"I can ask if you want."
"It's for Ethan, and he's unexperienced as you know."
"I'm not going to work anywhere, Elliot!" He raised his voice.
"Lower your voice." I ordered strictly before getting up and throwing my plate in the sink.
"Elliot, sit down please." Linda glared at me.
"What's wrong with you guys? Calm down babes." Sandra tried to lighten uo the mood.
"I'm going to my room for a bit." I sighed.
"Okay." Sandra nodded while Linda just shook her head at me.
Closing the door, I picked up my phone dialing Dareen's number.
"Hello?" She answered after a few rings.
"Hey," I breathed nervously looking out of the window. "I'm Elliot."
"I know," she giggled. "How are you?"
"I'm okay. I'm just calling to make sure that you are okay."
"I am. Don't worry."
"Your ankle isn't bruised or anything?"
"No no, Harry got me ice, and I am resting now."
"You're on good terms, now?" I asked.
"Yeah, we talked, and everything is fine. He's spoiling me." She giggled, and something inside me twisted.
"Good."
"Come over if you want." She offered, "Christina is here, and we're going to watch movies."
"Uh- I don't think that I can. Sandra is here, and it's not nice to leave her."
"Bring her with you. She's so friendly."
"Maybe some other time. She wants to chat with my brother as well." I sighed.
"You know that you're welcome anytime."
"Dareen, I was thinking if we could go out tomorrow after work?" I cleared my throat.
"And?"
"And dine together for example." I said slowly.
"As?"
"Uh- just to hang out." Heat radiated from my face as I talked.
"Oh.." She whispered.
"If you don't want to, you can forget about it all." I said quickly.
"I'll tell you my decision tomorrow." She whispered.
"Okay."
"See you."
"Goodbye."
*---------
"May I get in?" Sandra peeked inside.
"You already did." I smiled patting the seat next to me on the sofa.
"What's wrong with you, Elliot," She whispered as she sat next to me.
"I am just a bit strict with Ethan these days, but we're okay." I passed her a small smile making her shake her head.
"He told me everything that you told him. He refused to tell me what did he do, though." She sighed placing her hand on top of mine. "There's something else, isn't there?"
"What do you mean?" I turned to face her.
"You're in love with a girl that I met today."
"Which girl are you talking about? There's nothing like that." I shook my head.
"You know who is she. C'mon Elliot, I know you more that I know myself." She shook her head with a smile.
"You're not easy." I shook my head.
"Of course, sir." She flipped her hair making me roll my eyes.
"Till now, we're just friends."
"Till now?" She gave an amused look.
"Yeah," I shrugged getting up from next to her.
"You're so obvious. I swear you're stupid." She giggled. "You practically ran out after her. Tell her that you love her, already!" She urged.
"Sandra, you're talking as if it was normal. I'm nine years older than her. Can you imagine the difference?"
"I believe that it's nothing bad. You would be able to understand her better. Pierre is older that me with eleven years, but we're not facing any problems."
"You're different. You agreed to that, but she may not agree."
"When a girl falls in love, nothing can stop her. Plus, you're still twenty nine not fifty for God's sake!"
"I don't know." I sighed.
"Yes, you know." She sighed walking over to me. "You're making everything complicated. Tell me what's wrong."
"I feel like I'm fifty." I whispered. "My life is dull and boring. I pay my life to raise that stupid ass, but no one understands. No one appreciates anything."
"Elliot, God is watching you. He loves you, and I believe that you'll get something beautiful in return." She ressured holding my hand. "You're my little brother, and I hate to see you like this. Have faith in God."
"I do." I sighed sitting on the edge of the bed. "Are you going to stay here tonight?"
"No, I can't."
"I'll sleep a bit. Wake me up when you want to leave, and don't leave alone." I warned, but she just rolled her eyes. "Sandra, I'm serious."
"Oh really?" She turned to me.
"Yes, really." I ressured before walking out of the room with her following.
"Where are you going?"
"Linda," I called out.
"I'm here, bunny." She answered from the kitchen.
"Sandra won't leave by herself. Make sure to wake me up when she gets ready to leave."
"Okay." She smiled looking at Sandra who was just huffing behind me.
"Let's watch a movie with Ethan." She told Sandra, and I just left them and walked back to my room already not able to open my eyes.

"He asked you out?!" Christina's eyes widened.
"He didn't say that it was a date or anything, so just calm down." I rolled my eyes.
"Girl, he asked you out! How could you be so calm?!"
"Who asked you out?" Harry smiled walking in with two bowls of pop-corn. I just groaned not answering him.
"Elliot."
"He didn't!" I protested.
"Yes, he did!" She fired back.
"It's not what you're thinking about; it's not a date- just a normal dinner."
"Yeah, sure." She rolled her eyes taking a bowl from Harry.
"Don't stay out with him for too long." Harry warned.
"Am I having a curfew or something?" I furrowed my brows at him.
"Not like that, but he already stayed with you for a night, and came here at such a late hour. I don't want him to think of you as an easy girl."
"Well, I'm not." I huffed.
"I know that." He sighed.
"Of course she knows what do you mean, Harry. Let's watch the movie now."
"SAW or The Vow?"
"SAW is better." Harry smirked.
"Boy, I am staying alone. Let it be The Vow." I shook my head.
"Stay with us." He shrugged making me roll my eyes.
"Fine." I sighed, and Christina got up putting the CD in the DvD Player before cuddling to Harry's side.
"That way I'll make sure that you'll sleep in my arms tonight." He whispered to her.
"You're an evil boyfriend." She smiled cuddling closer to him as I cuddled with Picky.
Just one question..
Why cuddle with a boyfriend when I can cuddle with Picky?
She's so soft and cosy, and she won't give you a headache as some people sitting next to me.
I love you, Picky.
