Song: Turning Tables- Adele.
Dareen
Loud bangs on the door wake me up covered in sweat. What's going on?
Sitting up, I check my alarm to find it still six in the morning. Who would come over at this time?
Rolling my eyes, I walk outside, and pull the door open to find Elliot right in front of me.
Shit.
"What are you doing here?" I narrowed my eyes.
"We need to talk."
"Do you think it's the right time for us to 'talk'? It's six in the morning for fuck's sake!"
"Then, we will dine together tonight."
"No!" I said sternly. "We have nothing to talk about anyway."
"If you didn't agree, I won't leave." He glared at me.
"Then, don't." I shrugged slamming the door shut.
-------
"Yes, Irene?" I sighed pressing the phone to my ear.
"C'mon, I brought breakfast for us to eat together before we start."
"Okay, I'm on my way. Don't eat without me." I giggled openning the door to find Elliot still standing there. "I have to hang up. Bye." I said hanging up on her as I walked past him.
"Dareen," He said more sternly pinning me against the wall.
"Are you out of your mind?" I yelled pushing him back.
"I won't leave you before we talk!"
"About what?" I screamed.
"About my baby that you're carrying!" "He's not your baby! I told you before that I have a boyfriend, and it's his baby not yours!"
"What's going on?" Harry stepped out of his apartement.
"Tell her to come with me before I kill someone!" Elliot said through his teeth.
"I have work!" I argued.
"I'll pick you up after work, and don't try to play tricks because I'll find you, and we'll talk!"
"Elliot, watch your tone while you're talking to her." Harry warned.
"Tonight." He repeated before walking past me, and down the stairs.
What the heck?
"Thanks for defending me that much." I rolled my eyes at Harry.
"I'll drive you on my way to work." He ignored my comment as he walked past me.
"I'm not going with you." I argued.
"Yes, you are." He sighed making me roll me eyes.
-------
"I'm outside." Elliot texted me.
"I still have work." I lied taking a sip of my hot chocolate as the door opened.
"Good evening, guys." He smiled at Matt and Irene before turning to me. "Can we go, now?"
"I honestly can't sir. I really need to rest." I sighed throwing my pen on my desk.
"We'll go out for a break. Excuse us." Irene smiled at him as she pulled Matt up. She's really stupid!
Before I could reply, they were already out, and I was sitting alone with that psycho.
"I like your friends."
"I'm not going with you!"
"You don't want problems, do you? You know that I won't leave without you."
"Elliot, I am really tired. Please leave." I sighed.
"And I am tired. Come with me, please. Just give me an hour."
Not giving me a choice, I got up.
"Only an hour." I warned and he nodded.
--------
"Are you okay?" He asked helping me out of the car.
"Yeah," I whispered holding my back in pain, "he's kicking." I sighed walking towards the restaurant's main entrance.
"Good evening." The waiter greeted us.
"A table for two quickly, please." Elliot told him.
"Okay, follow me." He smiled motioning for us to sit on a table before helping me in my chair.
"What do you want to eat?" Elliot asked as the waiter handed us the menus.
"We don't have much time. Could you please get me hot milk?"
"Sure, ma'am."
"I'd take iced tea." Elliot said handing him back the menu.
"What do you want? I have no time."
"First, I want to apolgize for what I said and did last time. I was really pressured, and I said things I didn't mean."
"It's fine, I'm over it, now." I shrugged. "I see." He nodded. "I just wanted to know how old is the embryo."
"What does it have to do with you?"
"Well, it has a lot. Just answer my question."
"I'm about to give birth."
"We broke up eight months ago,you know what that means?"
"It doesn't mean anything." I raised my voice glaring at him. "It's not your baby! It's my baby!"
"Sit back down." He said calmly as I held my back in pain.
"I'm tired. He's kicking." I whispered as tears fell from my eyes.
"Should I get you something?"
"Take me home, please." I whispered as he held me up.
"Something's wrong, sir?" The waiter asked.
"She's a bit hurt. I'm really sorry, but I must take her home."
"It's fine. Should I call an ambulance?"
"No, just take me home for fuck's sake." I cried out.
"Excuse us." He said quickly helping me to the car.
"Be quick. Be quick." I whispered taking deep breaths.
"Do you want to lie down at the back seat?"
"Yes, please." I nodded quickly getting in before he sped out.
"Aaah!" I screamed as I felt something on my thigh. "Elliot, my water broke!" I screamed.
"What does that mean?" He turned to me.
"The baby is coming!" I sobbed.
"Shit! Shit! Shit! We're in the middle of no where! Where in hell should I go?" He yelled.
"I don't know. Call my doctor. Ask him what should we do." I sobbed handing him my bag.
"What's his name?"
"Chris." I answered rubbing my belly.
-------
Elliot
"Hello, Miss Isaac." Her doctor answered at once.
"Doctor, Dareen is giving birth, and her water broke. There's no one here cause we are literally in the middle of nowhere!" I started to panic.
"Where are you?" He asked as I started giving him signs.
"Oh my God. Can you wait for about twenty minutes? I can send you an ambulance."
"She can't wait, doctor." I shook my head holding her cold hand in mine.
"Elliot," She sobbed.
"We have no choice. You'll do it." He sighed.
"Do what?" My eyes widened.
"Give her the phone for a second."
"The speaker is on." I assured.
"Miss Isaac, how do you feel? Can you feel the baby?"
"He's poking out!" She sobbed.
"Your friend will help you bring him out. We have no choice. The baby can suffocate if he's not out in time."
"Oh my God!" Her eyes widened.
"Don't worry, I'll tell him what to do exactly, and I'll send an ambulance, but till then, you have to do something or else we may lose the baby, and your life will be in danger."
