Song: Beggin'- Madcon.
Dareen
"Dareen." I heard someone calling, but I didn't know if I was just dreaming.
"Dareen, wake up!" I heard a loud gasp, and my eyes flew open.
For a second, I stayed still not getting what was happening before I realised that I was sleeping between Elliots arms.
Gasping loudly, I jump from my bed and his eyes flow open.
"How did you get in here?" I hold my robe close to my chest.
"I will just join Harry." Christina announced awkwardly before walking out and closing the door.
"I'm sorry. You were crying and I don't know how did I fall asleep. I'm so sorry." He stood up quickly looking so embaressed.
"It's okay." I said awkwardly slipping on my robe quickly. "Don't tell them anything."
"Who's that Harry?"
"A friend of mine." I answered sharply.
"You give every friend of yours your keys? I don't want to sound intruding, but-"
"You do. Please just don't tell them anything. I want you to forget what happened yesterday, and I'll sort everything out."
"I'm so sorry. I think I should leave." He said quietly matching to the door. "Wait!" I held his hand to stop him. "I didn't mean to offend you. I am just so tired that I don't think about what I am saying. You know that I trust you more than anyone."
"I know that you didn't mean to offend me in any way. I understand what you're saying. Take care of yourself and call me if you needed anything." He smiled faintly.
"Stay till after breakfast at least."
"I-"
"If you're not mad at me, stay." I insisted making eye contact.
"Okay." He smiled opening the door before we both stepped outside.
"Good morning." Harry passed Elliot a circumspect glance before turning to me. "I didn't know that you had a guest."
"Um- that's Sir Elliot, my colleague at work. Sir Elliot, that's Harry, my childhood besfriend and more like a brother to me." I smiled introducing them to each other nervously.
"Nice to meet you." Harry nodded his head placing down a plate of bacon on the table.
"Sit down, sir. I'll bring you a plate." Christina spoke up motioning for him to take a seat.
"Dareen, will you please help me flip the pancakes?" Harry turned to me, and I just nodded following him to the kitchen.
"Seriously Dareen? I thought that I'd be the first one to know that you got a boyfriend?" He glared at me.
"Shh!" I clamped my hand over his mouth before closing the kitchen door. "He's not my boyfriend, stupid!"
"Oh really now? You're sleeping with him without even loving him? Just like that?"
"First, talk to me in a better way. I'm not your little sister. I know very well what to do what not to do. Second, He's my colleague at work and nothing more. Third, I got sick at work yesterday and thank God, he was there and helped me home. He even stayed with me to make sure that I was okay while you were with your girlfriend, Sir!" I rolled my eyes.
"Are you feeling better, now?" He squeaked.
"You're stupid, I swear." I giggled opening the door.
"I'm sure that you'll like them. They are just- hmmm- mouthwatering." Christina closed her eyes awe as she took a bite of bacon.
"Wait till we all sit down!" I slapped her forehead making Elliot chuckle.
"I'm sorry for these two. They just care about food."
"They're both so cute." He complimented.
"Thanks, man. Dareen always insults us. What a bad friend." Harry exclaimed placing a plate of fresh pancakes and another plate of honey.
"Yeah, I'm the one who went on date with my besfriend's besfriend without telling her!" I rolled my eyes.
"She's my girlfriend!" He protested.
"You're still dumb. Both of you!" I raised an accusing finger at them.
"Okay, calm down and start eating. They made my stomach grumble." Elliot chuckled putting a pancake in my plate.
"I'll just eat an apple. Take it." I shook my head, but he just refused.
"You should eat well."
"Yeah, I agree." Harry nodded.
"I'll just eat this." I sighed.
"We don't want you to faint again." Harry said, and Elliot looked at him for a second before turning to me.
I passed him a pleading look, and he cleared his throat.
"We were very stessed yesterday." He spoke up making me gulp. His phone started ringing after a moment of silence.
"Excuse me." He said standing up.
"Don't you want bagels, baby?" Harry turned to Christina.
"I don't care! Do what I am saying or else you'll both get into trouble." I heard Elliot yelling.
"What's going on?" Christina frowned at the tone of his voice.
"I'll just check that everything is okay." I whispered standing up, and walking into the living room. His back was turned to me, and all I can hear was the sound of his dress shoes hitting the floor in anger.
"I'm coming, now." He said quietly, but I can still hear the anger lacing his voice.
"Is there anything wrong?" I dared to ask.
"No," He turned to me with a small smile, but I can see that it was forced. "I just have a small problem at home, but I'll sort it out."
"If you need any help-" I offered.
"No, I just want you to rest today. Don't go anywhere, and if you're feeling sick, call me."
"Thank you so much, Elliot." I wrapped my arms around him.
"I'm sorry that I'm leaving you."
"Don't be. Harry and Christina are staying with me." I smiled.
"Good." He nodded picking up his keys.
"Let me bring your jacket." I said quickly running to my room before turning back to hand it to him.
"Thanks." He smiled. "I want you to listen to me carefully. Don't go to these places again. You're too innocent to be put in that sitiuation again. I'm not bossing you, I just don't want to see you hurt again."
"I understand. Thanks for caring." I smiled, and he mirrored my actions.
Smiling softly, he patted my shoulder before walking past me.
"Oh, you're leaving?" Harry stood up.
"Yeah, there's something that I have to do, and I'm not worried anymore about Dareen. Take care of her, guys." He sighed, and Harry nodded.
"I'll let her eat chocolate till she gets fat. Don't worry." He shrugged making them chuckle.
"You're the fat one." I slapped his shoulder.
"I eat like a bird." He lied.
"That's why you were about to bite my arm at night." Christina rolled her eyes making me giggle.
"It was nice to meet you. I really loved your company." Elliot smiled.
"We will meet later for sure." Christina smiled.
"I hope so." He nodded before turning to the door.
"See you tomorrow." I smiled walking him to the door.
"Tomorrow is off." He pointed out.
"The day after it, then." I giggled.
"Always keep that smile on your face. It suits you more than that poker face, and it is better than the tears." He whispered.
"No one wants to cry, Elliot." I smiled faintly.
"You're stronger than that. He didn't break you. Do you hear me?" He whispered, and I just looked the other way to hide the tears that were threatening to fall from my eyes.
"I'll finish my work today. Should I send it to you when I finish it?" My voice shook as I talked.
"There's no need. Goodbye." He sighed before walking out.
Once he disappeared, I slammed the door shut before walking back inside.
"Were you crying?" Christina frowned.
"No, why would I? I just think that I'm tired." I shrugged, but Harry continued to pass me a curious look.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" I glared at him.
"You weren't sick yesterday, were you?" He asked.
"I was. Why whould I lie to you?"
"I'm asking the same question."
"If you'll keep on acting like this then you might as well leave." I raised my voice.
"What happened yesterday?" He yelled.
"Nothing!" I screamed.
"Alright, calm down, both of you." Christina stood in front of me.
"I'm tired and I have work to do. You can leave." I snapped turning away from them.
"We won't leave you." Christina repeated.
"I need to rest."
"At least finish your breakfast." She protested.
"I'm full." I dismissed as I stepped into my room and slammed the door shut.
Falling on my knees, I let it all out.
No one can understand.
No one.
