Paris after sunset was another kind of magic.

The crowds faded. The shops dimmed. The café chairs were stacked outside in neat rows. Lamps flickered to life one by one, their glow turning the streets golden. Somewhere nearby, a violin played faintly.

And somewhere even quieter than all that-

Two shadows walked side by side with nothing but soft wind between them.

Taehyung and Jungkook strolled slowly, neither rushing, as if the night itself had bent to give them this silence.

They passed boulangeries with fogged windows, bookstores with closed shutters, ivy-draped balconies where voices murmured from behind lacy curtains.

"I like this," Jungkook said after a long stretch of silence.

Taehyung glanced over. "This?"

"Just... walking. No noise. No questions. Just... us."

Taehyung hummed low. "It's rare."

"That's why it's nice," Jungkook said.

They stopped near a small bridge that crossed a narrow canal, lights reflecting in the slow-moving water below.

Taehyung leaned against the railing. "I used to walk like this with my sister."

Jungkook looked at him gently. "Tell me about her."

Taehyung's jaw tightened for a second. But then he looked at the water.

"She was older than me. Only by three years. But she always felt like... a mother, a best friend, and my favorite chaos all at once."

Jungkook smiled faintly. "She sounds like someone who lit up the room."

"She did." His voice grew softer. "She was always laughing. Always pulling me out of my shell. She was... light."

Silence.

Then Taehyung added, "When she died, that light went out. And I couldn't find it again."

Jungkook placed his hand gently beside Taehyung's on the railing. Close enough to touch. But not quite.

"You don't have to find her light again," Jungkook said quietly. "But you deserve to find your own."

Taehyung looked at him, eyes unreadable.

"And maybe..." Jungkook added softly, "you already did."

Their eyes met.

A beat.

Another.

Then Taehyung looked away.

Jungkook didn't press.

They began walking again.

After a while, it was Jungkook who spoke next.

"You know what's funny?"

Taehyung glanced sideways. "What?"

"I've never had anyone drop me home before. Or care if I ate. Or bring me medicine. Or look at me like... like I'm something more than background noise."

Taehyung slowed his steps. "Is that how you feel? Background noise?"

Jungkook chuckled dryly. "I've always been... extra. Girly. Soft. So people don't take me seriously. I'm used to being someone's side story. Their curiosity. Their joke."
