Jungkook’s POV

I was awakened by someone shaking my shoulder. I groaned and turned to the other side, hoping for just a few more minutes of sleep. Then, a sharp kick on my ass startled me, making me shoot up in bed. My eyes widened as I glared at the culprit who dared disturb my peace—Suga hyung.

“Hyung, why are you here so early?” I grumbled, still caught between my dream and reality.

Suga didn’t respond at first. He simply glared at me, his sharp eyes cutting through my half-asleep state. That’s when I finally noticed my surroundings. I wasn’t in my room. This wasn’t my apartment. I was in Suga hyung’s house.

“Hyung, what am I doing here?” I asked, my voice laced with confusion.

“Why don’t you ask yourself, you idiot,” Suga said with that savage tone that always left me feeling small.

I blinked, and then the memories of last night flooded back. I remembered breaking Ava’s heart, the weight of her pain crashing down on me, and how I’d fled to the bar, hoping to drown my guilt in alcohol. Beyond that, the night became a blur of drunken haze. Someone must’ve called Suga hyung to rescue me from myself. I sighed, my chest heavy with regret.

But then—Jimin.

My heart dropped. I jumped out of bed, panic rushing through me. “Hyung, Jimin is alone at my apartment!” I shouted, already bolting out of the room. But just as I was about to rush out the door, I froze.

Jimin was sitting in Suga hyung’s living room, calmly sipping his coffee.

I stood there, breathless, my brain struggling to catch up. “What? How are you here?” I asked, still confused.

When Jimin saw me, his expression changed. He walked over, arms crossed, lips pouting as he turned his face away. His eyes were filled with hurt, and it made my heart sink.

“Hyung, you should have answered your phone!” he scolded, his voice small but filled with frustration. “Do you know how worried I was? I thought something bad happened to you!” His pout deepened, and despite the tension, I couldn’t help but smile at how unintentionally adorable he looked.

“I’m so sorry, Minnie,” I said, my voice soft, guilt gnawing at me. “It was irresponsible of me. I shouldn’t have left you alone like that.” The sincerity in my tone was clear—I really meant it.

Jimin’s face softened, though his pout remained. “Don’t do it again, hyung,” he mumbled, finally looking up at me with those big, worried eyes. “I was scared.”

“I won’t, I promise,” I said, pulling him into a tight hug. He smelled like warmth and safety, and for a moment, I let myself forget the mess I’d made of everything.

“If you two are done with your morning drama, can we have breakfast now?” Hobi hyung’s voice chimed in from behind us, his bright grin lighting up the room. Jimin’s face instantly brightened, and he bounced towards the kitchen with excitement, leaving me standing there, still processing the whirlwind of emotions.

As we sat down for breakfast, I noticed something. The way Suga and Hobi hyung doted on Jimin—it was different. Their love for him was evident in every smile, every gentle word. It didn’t surprise me, though. Jimin had always had that effect on people, effortlessly making everyone around him adore him.

The table was filled with laughter, mostly thanks to Hobi and Jimin’s playful banter. It was the kind of warmth that made the heavy weight on my chest lift, even if just for a little while. It reminded me of how different things were with Ava—neither she nor my friends had any desire to bond or spend time together.
