Author's POV
“JEON GO EUN!” Gong Yoo’s furious voice rang through the Jeon household, piercing the quiet night air. Go Eun nearly dropped her ladle as she stirred the pot, glancing over her shoulder in alarm. She’d never heard her husband sound this enraged.
“What is it? Why are you shouting?” she responded, irritation mixed with a flicker of worry, as she continued to prepare dinner.
Gong Yoo appeared in the kitchen doorway, leaning heavily on a cane, his expression dark and determined despite his slow recovery from the accident. But what made her stomach drop was the worn, leather-bound diary he clutched tightly in his hand—the one she had hidden so carefully.
As her gaze met his, she felt her blood run cold. He knew.
“What’s written in here… about Jungkook and Jimin’s marriage… is it true?” His voice trembled with a mix of disbelief and fury. “Did you… force our son into this marriage?” The question hung in the air, heavy and accusing, like a weight pressing down on her.
Gong Yoo’s face twisted with raw emotion—anger, betrayal, sadness, and perhaps worst of all, disappointment. She could see in his eyes that the man who loved her, who trusted her, was barely holding himself together.
Go Eun’s mouth opened, but no words came out. She simply lowered her head, nodding in silent shame, her heart hammering in her chest.
“How… how could you do this? How could you do this to our child… to Jimin?” Gong Yoo’s voice cracked as he shouted, sweeping his arm across the counter in anguish. Pots and utensils clattered to the floor, echoing throughout the house, a tangible representation of the turmoil in his heart. But his strength faltered, and he stumbled, falling to his knees.
“Yoo!” Go Eun rushed forward instinctively to help him, her eyes wide with regret and concern. But as she reached out, he jerked away, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
“Don’t touch me! Don’t!” His voice was broken, his face a mask of pain and betrayal. Go Eun froze, her heart shattering as she watched the man she loved turn his back on her.
A tear slid down Gong Yoo’s cheek, tracing a path of heartbreak. “I trusted you, Go Eun. We promised each other we’d protect our family… but you… you sacrificed our son’s happiness.”
“I’m… I’m sorry,” Go Eun stammered, her voice barely a whisper as she tried to reach him. “I thought… at the time, it was the only way…”
He cut her off sharply, his voice laced with bitterness. “Then you should have let me die. I would rather have died in peace, knowing my son was happy. But you… you trapped him in a loveless marriage.” Gong Yoo’s voice softened with grief, the once-confident man now a shadow of his former self, broken by the revelation.
After a tense silence, he finally spoke again, his voice cold and resolute. “Tomorrow, we’re going to the Parks’ house. We’ll tell them the truth. They deserve to know, and they will decide what happens next.”
Struggling to his feet with the help of his cane, Gong Yoo made his way to Jungkook’s room, leaving Go Eun alone in the kitchen, overwhelmed by the consequences of her actions, haunted by the misery she had brought upon her family.

The early morning sunlight crept into the room, casting a gentle glow over the disheveled bed. Clothes lay strewn across the floor, remnants of a night filled with passion. In the bed, two bodies lay tangled together, naked and entwined, lost in a blissful slumber. Jungkook’s arm wrapped protectively around Jimin, his larger frame enveloping his husband in warmth.
