Jimin’s POV
From the very first meeting, I felt something was off about her. Her presence carried a negative vibe I couldn’t ignore, and now the scene before me only confirmed my assumptions.
She knew Jungkook hyung was married, yet she clung to him like she was his wife. If she truly respected him or their friendship, even her tears wouldn’t justify this. A comforting hug or holding his hand would have been understandable—but this? This wasn’t just a hug. Her entire body was pressed against his, as though she wanted to claim him.
“W-What are you doing here, Jimin-ah?” Jungkook hyung stammered, his voice trembling as he reached out to touch me. But I stepped back before he could.
Before he could say anything else, Namjoon hyung approached us, his playful tone cutting through the tension.
“You guys are here! I told you to stay at the table, didn’t I, you little devils?” he teased. But his smile faded as he sensed the charged atmosphere.“Oh, hey, Jungkook! Why are you standing with them? Do you know each other?” Namjoon asked, confusion etched across his face.
I took a deep breath, plastering a smile on my face as I strode toward Jungkook. Wrapping my arm around his, I declared loud enough for everyone to hear, “Jungkook is my husband!” I said in English, ensuring there would be no misunderstandings.
Gasps rippled through the crowd. Whispers buzzed around us, and Jungkook looked utterly stunned. Everyone was staring, but I didn’t care. Jungkook was mine, and no one—not Ava, not anyone—could take him away from me.
“Husband? You said—” Namjoon hyung began, but Tae cut him off swiftly.
“Our food is waiting for us, hyung! Let’s go eat before it gets cold,” Tae said, clearly trying to diffuse the situation.Namjoon seemed to get the hint, nodding as he and Tae walked away, leaving me, Jungkook, and Ava standing there.
I glared at Ava, but Jungkook moved closer, gently holding my face and redirecting my attention.
“Baby, please don’t misunderstand. I’ll explain everything to you later, okay? Just give me a chance,” Jungkook pleaded, his eyes filled with guilt and worry.I clenched my jaw, taking a calming breath before nodding. I didn’t want to create a scene, not now.
“Ava, I hope you feel better now. We’ll talk some other time,” Jungkook said, his tone firm but polite as he turned to leave with me.We joined Namjoon and Tae at the table, the tension lingering in the air. Namjoon cleared his throat awkwardly before gesturing toward Tae.
“Jungkook, this is my younger brother, Taehyung!”Jungkook gave a small smile.
“I know him. He’s Jimin’s best friend. And hyung, this is my husband,” Jungkook said, his voice awkward but sincere.Namjoon raised an eyebrow.
“Where’s Yoongi?” Namjoon asked, changing the subject.“He took a half-day leave,” Jungkook replied. Namjoon nodded, and the conversation shifted to lighter topics as we finished our meal.

Jungkook’s POV
After lunch, I asked Namjoon hyung, “Would it be okay if Jimin stayed with me until evening?”
Namjoon hesitated before smiling. “Of course. Just don’t keep him too long, okay?”
Taehyung left to attend to some errands, leaving Jimin and me alone. As we entered my office, I make him sit on my chair.
“Explain,” Jimin demanded, his arms crossed as he stared at me, his eyes cold and unwavering.
I took a deep breath, bracing myself. “Alright. Here’s what happened.”
