Jungkook POV

I stood by the kitchen door, straining to hear what Jimin and Ava were talking about. Their voices were tense, laced with anger, but before I could make sense of the argument, a loud, sharp slapping sound echoed through the house.

Startled, I immediately pushed the door open, my heart pounding in my chest. My eyes darted to the scene before me: Ava sprawled on the floor, clutching her cheek, her face contorted in pain, while Jimin stood frozen, his eyes wide with shock.

“Ava!” I called out, breaking free from the grip of my own disbelief. I rushed to her side, kneeling down as she sobbed uncontrollably, her trembling hands covering her reddened cheek.

“Jungkook, please!” she gasped, her voice cracking between sobs. “Find me a hotel room! I’m not staying here anymore! I can’t… I can’t keep getting abused by Jimin!” Her words came out in broken fragments, each one a dagger to my chest.

My blood boiled as I turned to Jimin, my mind reeling. I searched his face for remorse, for guilt—anything that could explain his actions. But all I saw was shock etched across his features, as if he couldn’t fathom what had just transpired.

The absence of guilt in his eyes only ignited my fury. “JIMIN!” I bellowed, my voice reverberating through the room like a thunderclap. His teary gaze met mine, but it didn’t move me. Not this time.

If it were any other moment, I might have asked him what happened, tried to understand his side. But now? After what he’d done—to a woman, no less—I couldn’t bring myself to ask.

“Why the fuck did you hurt Ava?” I shouted again, my voice raw with anger. I saw his face harden, his shock replaced by something colder, something unrecognizable. His expression shifted at the mention of Ava’s name, and I felt Ava clutch at my arm, seeking comfort.

Jimin’s eyes flickered to her, his lips curling into a sneer. Disgust painted his features as he scoffed, his voice laced with venom. “Why would I even touch this disgusting, low-grade, useless bitch? To pollute my hands?”

The words cut through the air like a blade, leaving me stunned. Jimin… My Jimin—who was once kind-hearted, who never raised his voice at anyone—now stood before me, unrecognizable.

I stared at him in disbelief, my mind grappling with the depth of his words, with how much he seemed to have changed. Ava trembled beside me, clinging to my arm as if afraid Jimin’s words might do more damage than they already had.

“Are you even hearing yourself, Jimin?” I snapped, my voice sharp and heavy with frustration. “After what you’ve done to Ava, you have the audacity to disrespect her like that? Useless? Ava? How is she useless?”

I took a shaky breath, my anger boiling over. “She’s fought tooth and nail to secure her place in this society, even when she had no one—no support, no safety net—and people like you judging her every step of the way. Still, she never stopped fighting. She worked hard for herself, unlike you, who’s had everything handed to you on a silver plate!”

The words poured out of me, unstoppable, each one sharper than the last. “You haven’t done even one percent of the hard work Ava’s done, yet you have the nerve to call her useless? You’re almost 19 years old, Jimin! And yet it’s me who does all the fucking work in this house! All you know how to do is eat, sleep, and whine about other people. And you’re calling someone else useless? That’s the fucking joke of the year!”

The room was heavy with tension as my words hung in the air, sharp and cutting. I hadn’t planned to say any of that, but the anger, the frustration—it all came spilling out before I could stop myself. Deep down, I knew I didn’t mean every word. But Jimin needed to hear it. He needed to learn that respect isn’t optional, and that thinking he’s perfect doesn’t give him the right to tear others down.
