Her mind was reeling as she thought about the night before. She didn't sleep, the thought of Damon hovering above her had kept her up all night. After showering to get rid of the remaining bits of blood she threw on a red sweater and got ready for the day. It was Sunday and today she was going to get some answers.
She stomped out of the house and made her way all the way to the school to grab her Car and phone. Inevitably she would have all kinds of texts and calls from Caroline asking why she disappeared before the game. She would more than likely ignore them all. She sighed as she threw her head back on the head rest. Damon's actions played heavy on her mind. The taste of the blood still lingered in her mouth. The low metallic taste that had sunk onto her tongue. She shook at the thought.
She gripped the steering wheel, her knuckles turning white as she squeezed. She let out a long drawn out breath. Finally reaching up and slapping her cheek a couple of times. This was all just a bad dream. A very bad dream that she would soon wake up from.
She pulled out of the parking lot and made her way to the Salvatore house. She hoped and prayed that Damon wasn't home. She would love anything other than to run into Damon today. She just needed one peaceful day with no Damon.
She rapped her knuckles against the door and crossed her fingers that it would be Stefan she saw on the other side, not Damon. The door opened and she half flinched. Stefan took note of this. He stared at the very disheveled, tired looking figure of the girl in front of him.
Without a word he let her pass. She almost broke down in tears but she kept her composure as she turned to him. "What is happening?"
"What do you mean?" Stefan led her to the parlor area and sat her down in an arm chair.
"Is Damon home?" Stefan shook his head as he sat down across from her. She let out a breath. Finally. "I have questions, and you better answer, I need you to answer." She corrected.
He sort of chuckled but He nodded as a way to show her he was listening. Adeline steady herself as she leaned forward. "What did Damon do to me last night?"
Stefan looked confused. "What do you mean? Did he hurt you?"
Adeline shudder at the memories that flooded through her. Her eyes glazing over as she recounted to Stefan what happened. "He grabbed me by the throat, and- and he made me drink his blood and just when he grabbed my head- he seemed to change his mind on something."
"He fed you his blood? Were you hurt?" Stefan asked sitting forward quickly.
"No."
"Damn it." Stefan rubbed his hands down his face with a long sigh. "He did change his mind- for now." He added on. Adeline's brows furrowed. "If you died with Damon's blood in your system. You'd come back-"
Adeline cut him off shooting upright. She stood above him. "Come back, you mean like..." she trailed off as Stefan nodded.
"You'd have to drink human blood to complete the change but yes." Stefan sighed again as Adeline paced the room. "I don't know why go would do that or change his mind but you're not safe until it's out of your system."
"And how long will that be?" Adeline threw her hands up.
"24 hours" Adeline threw herself down on the couch with a huff. She stared up at the ceiling for several minutes before speaking.
"Why would he do this? What makes me so fascinating beside him banging my long dead ancestor?" Adeline continued to stare at the ceiling.
She heard Stefan get up from his seat and turned to him, not bothering to sit up. "Have you ever seen Clara?"
