(In the Vulture's warehouse, Shultz tries out the shocker gauntlet. He moves a whole van with the force of his punch.)
"That's not good." Stephen says while shaking his head, "Someone like him shouldn't have that power."
(Mason sits at his work table, clutching his work when the table wobbles. "I can finish the next order, but without any new materials from that truck..." "Ugh, damn it." Toomes says angrily, "We still have enough to do the Gargan deal though, right?")
Peter cringes at the name. "Who's Gargan?" Tony asks noticing his reaction.
"Someone that will get his hands on some very powerful tech." Peter tells him, "We fought and it was not pretty, broke my arm."
"What?!"
"Don't worry he's in jail now."
("Yeah, but then that's it." Mason says, "Oh, maybe it's time that I built the high-altitude seal." "Would you shut up about that?" "It's only one job." "No.")
Natasha looked at the men on screen with suspicion. "What's so dangerous about that job that he doesn't want to do it?"
("Eight years, not a word from the feds, nothing from those Halloween-costume-wearing bozos up there in Stark Tower." Toomes says.)
"Hey! We don't wear Halloween costumes! Kids wear costumes of us!" Clint shouts, offended.
("And then all of a sudden, this little bastard in red tights shows up and he thinks he can tear down everything I've built. Really?")
Peter didn't react at all to the insult. He was used to it.
("I'm gonna kill him. I'm gonna find him..." "I found him." Shultz says.)
"What?!"
(On TV, the news shows Spider-Man at the Washington Monument. "Spider-Man swooped in, heroically saving an Academic Decathlon team from Queens. The identity of the masked hero is still unknown." Toomes's expression is unreadable as he studies the screen. The next day the school news team was recapping the events. "Thankfully, no one was seriously injured, thanks to Spider-Man.")
There was a round of applause and Peter blushed.
("Thank you Spider-Man." "Up next: The Spider-Man mania is sweeping the school. How can you show your spider spirit?" Peter grins as he cheerfully enters another hallway. Ned soon joins him and starts talking. "Dude, dude, dude. What is it like being famous when nobody knows it's you?" "Crazy, dude.")
"Just don't let it go to your head like some people." Bruce says, looking at Tony with a teasing smirk. Tony responds with an overdramatic gasp.
("It's crazy. Should we tell everyone?" Ned asks.)
"No."
("No." Peter responded with immediately. "Should I tell everyone?" Ned asks.)
"NO!"
("No, dude, no that's not a good idea." "Okay, come on, we'll be late to class." "I'm not going to class.")
"Yes you are." Pepper says sternly.
("You're already in so much trouble for ditching the Decathlon." "Dude, listen, I figured it out, right? The wing suit guy is stealing from Damage Control, that's how he builds the weapons. So all I gotta do is catch him.")
"Oh that's all you gotta do? Yeah, easy." Sam says with an eye roll.
("But we have a Spanish quiz." "Ned, I'm probably never gonna come back here. Mr. Stark is moving the Avengers upstate, so when I bring this guy in-")
"You will still need to go to school." Tony says, "Kid, you are insanely smart, but you still need to go to school and graduate."
("Dude, you want to be a high school dropout?" "I am so far beyond high school right now." Principal Mortia suddenly arrives. "Parker, my office.")
'Uh oh.' This was the collective thought going through the room.
(A video plays, featuring Captain America. "So...You got detention.")
Everyone started chuckling and Steve groaned.
("You screwed up. You know what you did was wrong. The question is, how are you going to make things right? Maybe you were trying to be cool. But take it from a guy who's been frozen for 65 years, the only way to really be cool is to follow the rules.")
The heroes were now all laughing hysterically. Clint and Bucky fell out of their seats.
"How many of those did you make, Stevie?" Bucky asks, somehow managing to gain control of himself. Steve blushed knowing that the video was just going to get worse.
(Michelle and Peter are sitting in a sparsely filled classroom. Peter sighs as Steve continues talking. "We all know what's right. We all know what's wrong.")
Everyone that fought in, or knew what happened, at the media dubbed Civil War winced at the statement. 'It's more complicated than that.' They all thought.
(Peter gets up and marches out past Michelle. Coach Wilson who is slouching at the teacher's desk says indifferently, "Hey, where are you going? Get back here.")
"What is wrong with your teachers?" Scott asks, "I would've never been able to get away with that when I was in high school."
("Just think to yourself, what would Captain America do?")
"No one answer that!" Steve shouts.
(Coach Wilson looks at Michelle. "Why are you here? You don't even have detention." "Oh, I know. I just like coming here to sketch people in crisis." She holds up her sketch book, "Heh. It's you.")
The adults gave the girl on screen puzzled looks. Peter just smiled at his friend's usual quirkiness
(The video continues, "So your body's changing. Believe me, I know how that feels.")
There was - you guessed it - more hysterical laughter, followed by Steve burying his face in his hands and Peter saying, "I got out of there at the right time.
