As the three of them flew on their swords, they quickly arrived at the Yuxu Sea in the southwestern border.

The Yuxu Sea connects with the East Sea and is said to closely border the territory governed by the Dragon King.

As soon as Yan Jue landed, she began to take in her surroundings.

What greeted her eyes was a fishing village.

The village was lined with densely packed thatched houses along the streets.

It was summer, and the sun was scorching.

The man, dressed in plain rough cloth, laughed heartily as he sat at a table. "My home has plenty of spare rooms, so feel free to stay. Just don't go into the backyard where I keep the livestock; it might be a bit inconvenient."

"Thank you for your hospitality," Qi Xianqing replied.

After all, they were guests in someone else's home, and not giving something in return would be impolite.

Qi Xianqing was surprised that Yan Jue had the habit of carrying silver coins with her when traveling, while the man was surprised at the amount Yan Jue had offered.

After all, their village was in a very remote area, and it was rare for visitors to come by.

Even when someone did stay over, they usually didn't pay.

The man quickly smiled and said, "This amount of money is more than enough. You could stay for ten days! It's already getting late, so you ladies should go back to your rooms and rest."

The man's home was indeed one of the better ones in the village, with plenty of empty rooms.

As Yan Jue stood up, her peripheral vision caught sight of several figures by the kitchen door.

There were four round-faced, blonde-haired children, their big eyes curiously staring at them.

A cute little girl, who had a pleasant appearance, stood her ground and shyly looked at Yan Jue.

Yan Jue joked, "Where's your mother?"

The little girl blinked at her. "My mom went out."

Before the words had left her mouth, Yan Jue suddenly felt a chill at the back of her neck. Turning around, she found the man standing behind her, not knowing when he had come there. "It's already dark. Why aren't you back in your room? Don't make the guests laugh at you. Hurry up and go."
