"YEP, I'VE GOT MINE RIGHT HERE!" you said, flipping the envelope in your hand, your heart racing as you talked to your favorite freckled boy, Midoriya. The paper inside felt heavier than it should, like it carried the weight of your entire future.

"One... two... three..." Midoriya counted down on the other line, his soft voice filled with a mixture of excitement and nerves. You could practically feel his heartbeat matching your own, the two of you connected through the anticipation. You knew he'd make it; he had worked so hard. But... what about you?

Then, silence. Your heart skipped a beat.

"Izuku?" you called out, worry creeping in. But then, through the quiet, you heard it—soft, familiar sniffles. A fond smile tugged at your lips. He was crying. Of course he was.

"I'm assuming those are good sniffles?" you teased gently, even as you fumbled with your own envelope, tearing it open with shaky hands. You bit down on the edge, nerves making your fingers tremble as you pulled the paper free.

"I-I made it!" Midoriya's voice cracked on the other end of the line, thick with emotion. "But barely... I can't believe it, [Name], I made it!" He was laughing and crying at the same time, his joy almost overwhelming. "But what about you? Did you...?"

His voice trailed off, full of hope and love, like he couldn't bear the thought of celebrating without you by his side.

You stared down at your letter, the UA logo gleaming at the top, and the words blurred for a moment as tears filled your eyes. You'd done it. You really did it.

"Izuku..." you whispered, your voice cracking as the reality hit you. "I did it too. I'm in."

There was a brief pause, and then you heard a soft, breathless laugh from him, as though he couldn't contain the happiness that was bubbling over.

"You did it... You did it!" Midoriya practically shouted, his voice overflowing with affection and excitement. "I knew you could do it, [Name]. I always knew." His words were warm, like a comforting hug through the phone.

A gentle knock at your door pulled you from the moment. Your father, Aizawa, stood there, his usual stoic expression softened by a proud, rare smile. He didn't need to say much—you could see it in his eyes.
