WHEN YOUR CLASSMATES heard about your situation, their hearts collectively broke. You had endured so much, and it pained them to see you carry such a heavy burden alone.
The kidnapping. The revelation of your father's identity. The Hero Commission's brutal interference. And now, the loss of your quirk.
They only knew what Aizawa made them think.
He had told them a made up story about how you had ended up in a crossfire between the yakuza and villains, which ultimately resulted in you getting injected with the drug.
It was overwhelming, and they couldn't blame you for shutting the world out.
You sat on the floor of your dimly lit room, knees tucked to your chest, arms wrapped tightly around them as if holding yourself together. Your head was buried, and you hadn't moved for hours. Days of isolation blurred together. Your friends had taken turns checking on you, leaving meals you barely touched.
Even Recovery Girl had tried to help, but her abilities couldn't restore something so deeply entwined with your genetics. Her kind words only deepened the void in your chest.
You were tired. So, so tired.
Then came the knock. Loud and insistent, pulling you out of your fog.
"OPEN UP!" Bakugo's rough voice boomed from the hallway, sharp and unyielding.
You groaned, burying your face deeper into your knees. "Not now, Katsuki."
"Maybe she's asleep, Kaachan," Midoriya's softer voice chimed in, trying to soothe the explosive blonde.
The silence that followed was more unsettling than the shouting. When Bakugo went quiet, it was never a good sign.
The sound of an explosion rang out, followed by the distinct smell of smoke. Your eyes shot open in disbelief as you saw your door—what was left of it—hanging off its hinges, a charred hole smoldering in the center.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" you yelped, scrambling to your feet as Bakugo stormed in.
He was furious. His crimson eyes blazed with intensity as he strode across the room, smoke still curling from his fingertips. Midoriya stood frozen in the doorway, his wide green eyes darting between the ruined door and you.
