- Chapter 5 - The Discovery, Part Two -
...
Lance and his friends, now in Japan, headed to their houses. Uno and Isabelle in Uno's Grandfather's house with apparently, an R32 GT-R, Sherwin in an apartment nearby a Gas Station, and got in without paying because of Lance's flirting tactics with the Desk Manager. And Lance himself, to his father's house. He walked for a few minutes and he finally reached his Father's house, it's just like the other houses in the area, but with the exception of a garage.
Lance: "Phew, here it is... Damn, looks the same as the other houses here."
Lance then gets the letter his Dad gave him once more, and reads the last part once again.
"Don't Open The Garage Door."
Lance was still confused by what that meant, but he was now looking at the Garage.
Lance: "Didn't my father have a car here when I was just 13? He never specified what it was... So maybe he sold it?
He got more curious the more he looked at the garage. So to counter that curiosity, he went inside the house and arranged his stuff first. It took him half an hour to arrange everything up, he finished after a few struggles. Then he returns again to the garage door. He really is curious, isn't he?
Lance: "What will I be obsessed with when I open this? This is implying there really is a car behind this door."
After a few procrastinations, Lance finally decided on what he would do.
Lance: "Screw it, I'm opening this door!"
Lance got the house keys and started opening the garage, and as he lifted it all the way, it was really dusty, as the dust settled, Lance sees... A car! In the covers though. Lance takes a small examination on what it could be, from what he could guess, the body looks like an 80s car... A Nissan Z31? Mitsubishi Starion? Toyota Corolla AE86? Porsche 944? What could it be? Lance had no other option but to lift the cover to see what it could really be.
Lance: "There's really no other way I can guess on what this baby could be... I guess lifting the cover is the only option!"
Lance lifts the cover off, but the amount of dust covered his view once more so he covered his face. Once the dust settled once more, he took a small glimpse... What he saw would be something he'll remember till he dies.
Lance: insert surprised scream here
What did Lance see? Well... It wasn't a Nissan Z31, it wasn't a Mitsubishi Starion, Not an AE86 or even a 944, but instead it was... A Mazda.
Lance: "A Second Generation RX-7! An FC3S!"
It's a Mazda Savanna RX-7, FC3S. In other words, a car he didn't expect his Father even bought during his track days. It has since been overshadowed by the newer FD3S, so Lance seeing his Father's FC is something like seeing Lance himself with a loyal girlfriend.
Lance: "Damn, so much for my Father keeping this FC a secret... He was probably right with me not being supposed to open the garage door or lifting the cover, but eh, it happened."
Lance takes a good look around at the FC and as he reaches the back, it's actually a limited version of the FC.
Lance: "An Infini? My Father said he bought a car last 1989, so if he's implementing that on this RX-7, then this is an Infini III."
Lance found the car keys in the workbench at the ride side of the FC, and he unlocked the door of the car, he popped the hood to see the details. Turns out, aside from the outside being fully stock, the engine is as well, but it looks a bit wonky from the installment of the 13B.
