- Chapter 23 - Interpolated Dreams!? -

Alas, Izu Skyline has a new master again. It's our Lancey-boy himself, relieving his Father's past. But as much as the shock can go on the street scene... Lance doesn't worry about this too much because he's Lance, he can care about the stuff he does know well.

Cuts to the Cortez household

Lance is already fast asleep, from how much he struggled earlier made him really exhausted, especially because he hasn't gotten proper sleep since the day they landed in Japan. But, things aren't as they seem. As much as how peaceful Lance is sleeping, even with his innocent smile... He is having a very wild dream.

Lance (mumbling): "No, no, this isn't right..."

Cuts to a dream sequence

Lance: "What's this!?"

Buddha: "You are in a temple. Because of your different religion, you must find 10 artifacts of gold and bring them back to me. Or else, you will be exterminated from this world."

Lance: "Hmm... But what if I were to say I'm a Buddhist?"

Buddha: "No, child. I can clearly tell you're a Catholic."

Lance: "And when did you know that?"

Buddha: "I'm a God."

Lance: "Alright fine, you've got me. I'll get those 10 golds."

Buddha: "Not just any gold child. 10 artifacts of gold."

Lance sets off to find those "10 artifacts of gold" in the jungle. If he doesn't find them between 24 hours, he's off to the realms of the shadows.

Lance: "(Why does an old creep like him need to tell me what to do? Damn, this sucks.)"

But as his flip-flops that he was wearing steps on a piece of rock, all of a sudden...!

Woosh

Lance: "What the-"

A few seconds later

Lance wasn't even able to process what just happened, and now he's at a... Church? What's a church got to do with this!?

Lance: "The hell? What's this new location?"

Then, from the church, the "Here Comes The Bride" starts playing on its organ.

Lance: "Wait... If this is a wedding, don't tell me this is..."

Lance didn't hesitate and started running to the doors of the church.

Door opens wildly

Lance: "Uno! Isabelle!!"

Right as Lance says that, the bride and groom, or rather, Isabelle and Uno were almost about to kiss but stopped to look at Lance.

Uno: "L-Lance!? But you're here as we-"

Cues a missing Best-Man Lance

Uno: "What the fuck!?"

Lance's cousin: "How did Kuya-Lance get there?"

Lance: "Anthony!? What are you doing here!?"

Lance's cousin: "I'm forced to play the organ, remember?"

Isabelle: "Lance, you're disrupting me and Uno's kiss."

Lance: "Yeah, yeah, go ahead."

Lance heads out of the church to find the golden artifacts, but wait... Didn't he see one near the church?
