- Chapter 21 - 7000 vs 9000! Part Four -

The FC parks in the middle of many cars. And for the reveal... It's Lance, with Sherwin with him on the passenger side.

Uno: "Lance!"

Sherwin: "Now this is gonna be something."

Lance: "So... You said to be here by 10 right?"

Kohta: "Wasn't expecting a sudden appearance... I like that."

Lance: "Meh, that's how I show up at an event. Anyway... To properly introduce myself. I'm Lance Cortez. Nice to meet you."

Kohta: "Huh... I'm Kohta Ninomiya, leader of Green Racing. I'm surprised you have the balls to challenge me."

Lance: "I am surprised myself, I wanted to know who's the fastest one here."

Green Racing member: "So... How would you like to play out the battle?"

Kohta: "You see Cortez... We don't normally do races, but you're an exception. If we were to race... We will play it with side-by-side starting, or cat-and-mouse, which is one is leading, and one is chasing. The side-by-side is a normal race, whereas the cat-and-mouse is a tale of endurance. If the mouse gets away, he/she wins. But if the cat manages to keep up, we will continue doing runs till there's a winner."

Lance: "Hmm... I don't know for certain."

Isabelle: "The cat-and-mouse one sure is like a gamble!"

Uno: "I suggest doing side-by-side."

Sherwin: "Lance, go side-by-side, you might have a chance."

Lance: "Well... I'll go cat-and-mouse."

Kohta: "Very well... But first, we can't start in this place. We'll head 15 kilometers first then start the race. Alright?"

Lance: "15 kilometers? Fine by me."

The odd request baffled Lance a little. Looks like it's a counter-clockwise race, or simply, reverse way race. After a few minutes of driving to the starting place, both the Starion and FC line up, with the Starion leading, FC chasing.

Lance: "(Can't believe I'm actually gonna do this...)"

Kohta: "(Try and catch me!)"

Green Racing member: "Alright! For safety measures, play grip on a few corners before starting to slide!"

Delta Force - Wild Love starts playing

Both drivers: "Alright!"

Green Racing member: "Alright!! 3!"

Uno: "Never thought I'd see Lance have a race in my life."

Sherwin: "Hopefully he gets out without a scratch."

Isabelle: "Good luck Lance!"

Green Racing member: "2!"

Starion and FC revs to their max rpms

Green Racing member: "1!!"

Lance: "(It begins.)"

Green Racing member: "GO!!"

Both cars wheelspins and starts accelerating

Green Racing member: "They're off!"

Kohta: "Tch!" Upshifts to 3nd gear

Lance: Upshifts to 3rd gear

Both cars accelerate really quickly, then a shallow right corner appears, Kohta kicks his clutch and his Starion starts sliding!
