The Unknown Fleet - Chapter 9

- Chapter 9 - "Skyline" Troubles -

Lance and the others had finally enrolled and are now going to be back in school the following week. But to chill from the mess Lance created earlier that morning... They all went to the same Ramen shop they ate the night before.

Uno: "Why are we eating in this same shop again?"

Lance: "I guess it's becoming a tradition, ain't it now?"

Sherwin: "Yeah, but have you heard of the street racers here? I need to get a car and join in the action fast!"

Uno, who has an R32, and Lance who secretly has an FC, were the only ones who can go and drive in the mountain passes currently.

Uno: "Say, wanna head to a mountain pass after this?"

Isabelle: "But don't go that fast! I don't want all 3 of you to get hurt..."

Uno: "Don't worry! I'm a good driver, Belle."

Sherwin: "Are you sure, Uno? Can you really drift a heavy-ass 32?"

Lance: "I was gonna say that, yeah, can you Uno?"

Uno: "You think I can't drive? I'm an F1 enthusiast for crying out loud! I know how it would go!"

Lance: "(I might die tonight...)"

After some procrastination, they all paid and left the shop, all 4 of them were to go back to their houses, but Uno later told Sherwin and Lance to wait at the Gas station.

Uno: "Both of you wait at the gas station till I arrive alright?"

Lance: "Yes."

Sherwin: "Hehehe, we'll be seeing some drifting action!"

Lance: "I mean, in Tagaytay, we've already got street racers, but they mostly do drag racing or other reckless stuff."

Lance and Sherwin wait at the gas station for around 12 minutes before Uno shows up in his R32.

Uno: "Hop in."

Sherwin: "What the hell is this build, Uno?"

Uno: "My Grand-dad made this build! You like it?"

Sherwin: "...Ye-yeah... It's nice."

Lance: "I suggest you remove the carbon, doesn't add to the style right now."

Lance was right actually, there were no racers using carbon in their cars during this period, it would only be in the late 90s-early 2000s in which carbon was popular... So Uno predicted it once again?

Uno: "Aw, I thought it looked pretty neat..."

Lance: "It is! I'm just telling you to remove the carbon boy!"

After that, Lance and Sherwin hop in Uno's 32 and headed to the passes.

Uno: "What mountain pass boys?"

Lance: "Probably Izu Skyline, my Father apparently raced there before."

Uno: "Your Father sure was someone, but where's his car now?"

Lance, trying not to be revealing about the FC, just comes up with a random answer.

Lance: "Well, I don't know, it simply disappeared."

Uno: "But why did you borrow my crane earlier?"

Lance: "I needed to... Erm..."

Lance couldn't think of an answer, until he thought of something!
