Epilogue (Part 3)

"AHH! They are here! Oh my god," Nick screeched, as he heard the doorbell, "Vince! Grab the wine out of the pantry! Get some glasses."

"Okay! Okay! Calm down, Bun," Vincent chuckled, he got up from the couch to get the wine, "It's just the kids you have seen forever."

"But I have missed them so much," Nick gushed, opening the front door. At the door stood Lucas and Dakota. They were holding hands, and Nick just found that so sweet. He was happy his kids found someone they truly love.

"Hi Mom," Dakota smiled. He had a wonky little smile that Nick always had loved. Nick tackled him with a hug. Dakota had been taller than him, even as a teenager; now Dakota was bulked up too. Nick felt like he was hugging a giant.

"Hi sweetheart," Nick greeted back. He released Dakota to then hug Lucas. "How are you guys?" he asked.

"We are amazing," Lucas said, "Well, I have been working really hard at work recently. I have been pulling all-nighters to get things done."

"Well, today you can take a break, okay?" Nick offered. He moved out of the way so that the couple could walk in. "I have made spaghetti and meatballs-"

"Devin's favorite," Dakota interrupted bluntly.

"Yes," Nick nodded, "Devin hasn't had my spaghetti and meatballs for a while, so I made him some."

"Sounds delicious," Lucas commented, sighing as he sat on the couch. "Oh, it is good to be back under the care of Nick. Adulting is too hard. I want to be a kid again."

"You could live here if you want," Nick offered, "I wouldn't mind."

"Don't give him any ideas," Dakota scolded.

Then, Elian came down the stairs, talking with Jason.

"Have you ever seen them? They are like the best football team in the universe!" Jason was arguing. The fifteen-year-old had gotten himself into football in middle school. Nick has been attending football games (which he felt really out of place sitting at) ever since. The kid was good and very passionate about it. Nick was happy that he had an interest.

"I have not seen them," Elian shook his head, "But maybe you should show me some time?"

"Yeah, Dad," Jason nodded, "You have to see some game play. They are my new favorite team, I think." Nick felt his heart flutter. Jason was one of the few kids that called Elian and Vincent their father. Mainly because he was so young when Nick got with Elian and Vincent.

"That's awesome," Elian commented.

"Hey, Jason," Nick interrupted, "Where is Jordan? It is almost dinner time. Plus, Dakota and Lucas are here."

"How am I supposed to know?" Jason scoffed, "Just because I'm his twin, doesn't mean I know everything about him."

"JORDAN!" Nick yelled.

"I do not miss that," Dakota chuckled, referring to the screaming and leaning back on the couch.

Jordan then came down. Over the years, Jason and Jordan really diverged in personalities. It didn't surprise Nick, as they were always different as kids. They diverged even more, however, after puberty and developing their own personalities.

Jordan was a lot less athletic. He wore black skinny jeans and emo-esque clothing. For example, Jordan walked down with a black shirt on that had a red heart in the middle, with safety pins surrounding the heart. In the center of the heart, were the words "You give me the ick!" He had a striped, black undershirt to add to his emo-like vibe.

Jason was just dressed in a football jersey and jeans. So, yes, they were twins, but they were very different.

"Papa, can I bring my girlfriend over?" Jason questioned.

"No," Nick stated simply.

"Why nooot?" Jason whined.

"Because nobody likes your girlfriend," spoke Jordan. Nick no longer had to worry about Jordan not speaking. It turned out, Jordan is just very shy. After making enough money, and living with Elian, he took Jordan to a speech therapist, only to learn that Jordan was just shy and (possibly) high-functioning autistic. It gave Nick some relief to his worries.

"Okay, I know she is a little hard to deal with," Jason stated, holding his hands up in surrender, "But... she is the HOTTEST girl in school. What am I supposed to do? Turn that opportunity down?"

"Just promise me you won't have a baby with her at a young age like your brother," Nick sighed.

"Oh please, I am not dumb. I see what Devin has to deal with," Jason snorted, "I am not going to be a parent."

"Whatever you say," Nick rolled his eyes.

The doorbell rang again. Nick rushed to the door to open it.

"Devin!" gasped Nick and gave him a big hug. Nick heard Jason mutter "speak of the devil and he shall appear." He then gave Sam a big hug too. He saw Nicole hiding behind Sam, and he went for a hug. But Nicole held out a hand to signal him to stop.

"I am not in the mood for hugs," she spat.

Nick raised his eyebrow at Devin, who rolled his eyes at Nick like "See what I have to deal with?"

"That's okay," Nick then smiled at Nicole, "I understand. Sometimes, I don't like to be touched either. Come on in guys."

Avil and Tanner came in later, and all them sat around a large table for dinner. Nick passed around the food. They chatted and had good laughs.

Nick looked at his large family and never knew his future would be so happy.

"I love you all," he said.

And he knew, deep down, that they loved him too.
