It all felt like a lie. Memories flashed through my head, ones of Tara. I remembered the times where she'd play with my hair, putting it in a bow sometimes. She was like a big sister who I very much adored. Why would she do something like this...Tara why...I felt the hot, wet liquid coming from my eyes. What did Eric call them? Ah....tears. I didn't like them. I was still running. Why did my life have to consist of so much running? I was gasping for air, but how could I stop. I didn't even want to because it felt like if I stopped, the feelings would be worse. I had ran far out of the forest, in a more drier, barren area. What an odd change of scenery, but I couldn't care about that at all. I knew I had to stop soon...I kept running, in a full on sprint, and eventually, against my bodies will, fell onto the hard ground below me. I landed with a thud, and the bruises that had almost healed probably tripled in size. My mind was being torn into pieces, my physical body too tired to even move, and everything was just....pain. Severe pain. The pain of just rocks being thrown was an understatement. More like giant boulders. I wiggled slowly, and managed to scoot myself behind a decent sized rock, and just lay there in a state of shock, sadness, anger and so much more, I don't like this. My senses were dulled, so much so that I didn't notice Eric standing there, also out of breath and practically about to fall to the ground like I had, and he was holding onto the rock for dear life, but before I could say anything, he grabbed my arm, and wrapped his arms around me. I don't know what this is, but it felt...nice, and I couldn't really move as even my body needed some time to recover from all that running, and so did his. We sat in this position for probably seven or eight minutes, before he let me go. There were tears as well in his eyes, and he just started apologizing over and over again.
"I-I am s-so sorry Circe...I should have kn-known....this is all my fault...I am so so so so sorry. All those words you said were the truth. You're a human Circe. Not a doll or killing machine, but a human. A young, four- or should I say now fifteen year old girl who is the most dangerous assassin in the world,"
He smiled slightly at the last bit, and though everything in my mind hurt, it wasn't so bad anymore...because he was the only one I really cared for. I looked up, and managed to say
"You know....you always have wanted to look...into my memories...."
His eyes widened, asking the question for him.
'It is finally time for you to know the past I keep buried deep within the abyss of my mind. Be prepared though Eric, as you won't be...alone when you go into my memories"
He only nodded, and took my hand, and began his search...through my memories.
It was a cold, empty gray space that he floated through. Eric looked around, and called out
"Hello?"
A voice said
"Hello there, Eric. We finally meet at last"
He turned around, and understood what Circe meant by not being alone, ther stood a girl with tattered clothing, messy, matted white hair, and dull, pale grey eyes. She said nothing else, and took Eric's hand. He understood, and followed her. The scenery changed. Thunder flashed, rain falling, and Valia only said
"Watch"
A girl, identical to Valia, ran across them, like she couldn't see them. She ran into an alleyway, in a small, raggedy town that had somehow appeared. Eric and Valia followed her.
"Valia, did you get some good food?"
"Or any food?"
Two voices spoke. There was two boys, one with shirt, curly light blonde hair, with odd, purple eyes, and a boy identical to the girl, with hair the same shade of white, eyes as grey as the clouds above.
"Yep! I got some bread and...surprise! Apples!"
Both the boys gasped and laughed happily, and the girl, whose name was the same as the one beside him, Valia handed out the food. She handed a apple and a piece of bread to the blonde haired one and said
"Here Fin!"
And passed the same to the other boy.
"Here you go, Jack!"
They all smiled, chowing down on the food like crazy. After they all finished, they clasped their hands together, saying in unison
"We thank the gods of the harvest who watch over us for allowing us to eat this food without being poisoned"
Then, they all huddled together under a piece of fabric on two rocks, and closed their eyes, falling asleep. The scenery changed again, though the weather stayed the same. There was now a crowd of people, the the two boys were trying to get through but were smacked and thrown away from it. In the middle was Valia, and a very angry-looking man
"YOU FILTHY WITCH! HOW DARE YOU TRY TO STEAL FROM MY STALL!"
They was a loud whack, and Valia was punched by the full grown man, and she fell to the ground, coughing out blood. The villagers cheered, yelling out
"BEAT THE WITCH! BEAT THE WITCH!"
The man raised his fist again, but before he could land another blow, there was a loud shlink, and the man dropped to the ground. All the villagers were in shock, so Fin and Jack did not waste time, and grabbed Valia, dragging her away. All they knew was a massacre was about to happen. They heard a loud roar from a group, and they didn't dare look, and only ran, hiding where they usually lived. They heard screaming, pleas for mercy, but there was no person who invaded the place who was merciful. A few minutes passed, and it went dead silent, and footsteps were getting closer. They all held their breath as a man, who stood likely as tall as six foot eight, found them, and stared. Both the boys protected Valia, glaring up at the man, but for some reason, he didn't kill them immediately. Valia soon came back to consciousness, and she didn't even flinch at the current situation...maybe she wasn't ever uncouncious at all. She sat up behind the two boys, and the man shoved the boys aside, and crouched down to her level, grinning.
"My my, you're an interesting girl, I can tell. Your smile is like the devils"
He wasn't lying, there was a smile on her face. She was acting brave.
"I like you, little girl. Why don't you come with me and my friends? You'd be a great asset to the group. You're brother and friend can come along, if you'd like"
She didn't react, and seemed to consider it, and before she could react, Fin ran towards the man, having no idea what was going on, because all he saw was a gun that the man was holding behind his back, for if she said no. He tried to throw a rock at the man, and the man's eye twitched, and he whistled, and his men came, and he didn't even have to say anything as they dragged Fin away. Valia knew what was about to happen, and it caused something inside her to...snap. The one who she treated like her other brother was going to die....she dashed, quicker then the man could react, and she grabbed the gun from his hands and aimed it at him. Before the man could react, she pulled the trigger, and she got him. Right in the gut. He man grabbed his gut k and fell to the ground. The recoil from the gun was incredibly strong for a girl, and it had sent Valia flying into a wall, and she smacked her fingers hard enough, and they bent the wrong way, and there was a loud crack, but she didn't scream. She could only getup, and run. That's all she could do, knowing her brother would probably be fine....so she ran and ran, and stopped at the top of a hill, with a dry old oak tree, and saw a horrifying sight. There lay Fin, and there was no pulse.
