I sang a bit of a tune as I sat on the cart, a bored. "Eriiic, can we play a game? I'm sooo bored. Tara doesn't trust me to drive the cart so I don't have anything to do" I said with a mock pout in my tone. Eric laughed, and replied, "Well, can you blame her after last night? We don't know if you'll drive us off a cliff or not!" He laughed as he said that, and I giggled along with him. Jack sat in the corner of the cart, silent as usual, and I paid no mind to him. I laughed with Eric as we joked around about multiple things, whether light or dark. We showed no care to what had happened last night, since it happened a lot.
"Oh right, we're gonna need to put on our disguises!" Said Eric. I groaned and said "Do I haaaavve to? That wig is SO uncomfortable." Tara then piped in "Yes, you do Circe, and you as well Jack. Your guy's white hair stands out to much." I sighed, making it as loud and dramatic as I could. Tara slowly pulled back on the reigns, slowing the horses to a stop. We tied them to a tree, as we had arrived in a forest. The shadows were cast over us, and it felt nice after being in the beating sun for a whole day. I dramatically grumbled, though it wasn't real, behind a tree farther in the forest. I was given a white, flowy dress, nothing like what I usually wore, which was my nice steampunk dress. Tara always told me off about calling it a "steampunk" dress instead of just a corseted one. I sighed and slipped into the dress, and put the white stockings on, still wearing the buckle shoes I always wore, and took off my top hat. I sighed, and then felt a...strange feeling, like someone was gazing into me. I threw knives at a tree, and it shook before the knives hit it. I dashed over, but whoever was there, had vanished without a trace. "Borriiing, I wanted a fight! Better report this to Tara then. If you're still watching me, letting you know I'm coming for you! " I giggled, then skipping off back to where everyone else is. Tara immediately said "Cirrrce, where. Is. Your. Wig" I swallowed and rubbed the back of my neck and said "Uhhhh I...forgot it?" And as soon as I said that, Jack tossed me my wig.
"Dang it- oh well" I say, and put the wig on, already hating it. " Oh, and Tara" I chirped, and she turned her head to me. "We're going to have a...welcome party" I smiled, and her eyes remained unchanged. Boring as usual, no excitement in her eyes, I thought to myself. "Aaaanyways, let's get going. " I say and hop onto the cart as Tara unties the horses, and gets them moving. I think to myself, would tonight be fun at all?
Around an hour later, we arrived at our next...destination, Geret Village, a small place before the ruins of the Ancient city of Latio, a city from time long ago, or something. Tara had been blabbing about it a while ago, then again I had fallen asleep twenty seconds after she started talking. Anyways, we stopped by a field. It was dark out, and the moon shone oh so brightly. I giggled, something I enjoyed doing, that wasn't killing, was coming up. I grabbed banners, and ran into the village, making sure my footsteps could not be heard. I climbed the tall poles, and tied one part of a banner to it, and then quickly dashed over to the other one on the opposite side of the road. I repeated this process multiple times, all across the village. Eric joined up with me and we did it together. We high fived once we finished and ran back to where we had tied our horses, and saw everything else all ready and set up. I yawned, and headed over to my tent, and immediately fell asleep as soon as I lay on my mattress. Tomorrow would be a fun day indeed.
The sun rose, and the citizens of the village rose. Gasps and laughs could be heard. What was on the banners said
" We welcome you to the Black Snow Circus! We're only here for one night, so don't miss it!" There were also posters everywhere, giving more details such as the fortune-telling, the performers and more. What a wonderful thing it seemed to be, despite the dark secret hidden beneath the disguise of the circus. Though tonight seemed like it would be filled with happiness and excitement, no one could foretell what would happen..right? Maybe a certain flame-thrower knew the truth...
I slowly blinked open my eyes, the light blinding me. I hummed slightly as I got dressed, stepping over the dead, bloodied bodies beneath my feet as I did. I got into the same outfit from the last circus, finally feeling comfortable again. I looked at the bodies and giggled. "Oopsies, I guess somebody thought they could attack me while I was sleeping! Believe me, multiple people have tried, but my reflexes are really good? Oh, why am I talking when you're all dead! Let's see there's...two of you, guess I'll need to dig two holes. Oooook!" I said, and walked out of my tent with a skip in my step. I stopped and looked around. It seemed like no one was there. I heaved the bodies out of my tent, panting slightly. I went deep into the fields where there wasn't a single living thing, and dropped the bodies. I headed back and grabbed a shovel, and dragged it with me to where the bodies were. I shoved it into the ground, and brought it up, throwing the dirt behind me as I dug two big holes, and lifted both men into each one, and then covering them with the dirt. "There, now no one will see you tried to kill me. But just to be safe I'm going to blow you up from the inside. I did plant bombs in you secretly! Ah, there I go again talking to dead people." I open my mouth and sing quietly, and press a button. The ground rumbled a bit, and I smiled, and skipped my way back to the camp. As I did, I felt that same presence, and came to a halt, and looked directly at the spot where I knew they were hiding, and said with a creepy, sweet tone,
" I know you're watching me. You don't wanna end up like the ones I buried, riiiight? So I ask this. Who is watching? I guess it doesn't matter, you'll just be a white dove stained red."
