Emily stormed into Alexander's study, her face etched with frustration.
"Uncle Alex, what's going on? Dad just told me my training's canceled!" Emily exclaimed.
Alexander's expression remained calm. "Your father's concerned, Emily. He wants you safe."
Emily's eyes blazed. "But I want to learn! I need to protect myself!"
Alexander's voice softened. "I understand, Emily. But your father's worried. We must respect his wishes."
Emily's face fell, disappointment washing over her. Suddenly, her expression turned fiery.
"This is ridiculous! Fuck off!" Emily cursed.
Alexander raised an eyebrow, his mind racing. Who taught Emily to curse? He knew she didn't learn it from Lucas or Sophia. School, perhaps? Kids her age often picked up unwanted language from peers.
He decided not to address it, focusing on the issue at hand.
"Emily, your training is stopped, and I won't pursue it further without your father's approval," Alexander said firmly.
Emily's anger deflated, replaced by resignation.
"Fine," she muttered, storming out of the study.
