Just as they reached their door, Emily stood before them, her smile chilling.
"Hi, folks," Emily chimed, her voice dripping with innocence.
Rachael and Michael trembled.
"Hi," they stammered in unison, their voices shaking like leaves.
Emily's eyes sparkled mischievously.
"Uncle Alex wants you to join dinner. Don't be late."
Rachael and Michael nodded.
"Yes, of course," they echoed, their voices laced with desperation.
As Emily walked away, Rachael whispered.
"We're trapped."
Michael's eyes darted around frantically.
"We need an escape plan."
Rachael's voice barely audible.
"Before Emily finishes us."
Suddenly, Emily's voice echoed from down the hall.
"Uncle Alex is waiting."
Rachael and Michael exchanged desperate glances.
Their hearts racing, they crept towards the dinner table.

"Hey, do tell me if Uncle does anything... wrong to you. I mean exploitation."
Rachael nodded, trembling.
"OK, Emily. I will."
Emily's smile seemed innocent, but her eyes gleamed with intensity.
"And don't worry, I'm a very innocent person who just has anger issues."
Rachael forced a nod.
"I understand, Emily."
Emily's voice dropped to a whisper.
"Good. Uncle Alex thinks I'm a monster, but I'm just protecting him."
Rachael's eyes widened.
"From what?"
Emily's grin twisted.
"Everyone. Especially those who hurt him."
Rachael's heart skipped a beat.
"I won't hurt him, Emily. I swear."
Emily's gaze lingered.
"I know. That's why I like you, Rachael."
With that, Emily skipped away, leaving Rachael shaken.
Michael approached, whispering.
"What did she say?"
