The crowd that had gathered around them couldn't help but stare at Emily and Alexander, their faces filled with a mix of fear, awe, and curiosity. Alexander's patience was wearing thin, and he turned to the crowd, his eyes blazing with intensity.

"What are you looking at?" he growled, his voice low and menacing. "Don't you have your own work to do? Or do you want to die?"

The crowd took a step back, their eyes wide with fear. They knew that Alexander was not a man to be trifled with, and they didn't want to become his next target.

"I-I'm sorry, Alexander," one of the onlookers stuttered. "We were just... admiring your niece."

Alexander's expression softened slightly, and he nodded. "Very well," he said. "But don't forget, I'm always watching. And if you cross me or my niece, you'll suffer the consequences."

The crowd nodded hastily, backing away slowly as they dispersed. Emily watched them go, a small smile playing on her lips.

"You're so cool, Uncle Alexander," she said, looking up at him with adoring eyes.

Alexander chuckled, ruffling her hair. "Just remember, kiddo," he said. "We're a team. And together, we're unstoppable."

Sophia, Emily's mom, was on a mission to find her daughter. She came running up to Alexander, looking like a worried wreck. "Hey, have you seen Emily?" she asked, breathlessly. Alexander, trying to stifle a grin, nodded and said, "I've got her right here." He gestured to Emily, who was sipping on a cup of hot chocolate, looking like the epitome of innocence.

Sophia's eyes landed on Emily, and she rushed over to her daughter. "Inform me and come, Emily," she said, trying to sound firm but failing miserably. Emily looked up at Alexander, who gave her a subtle nod. Emily then turned back to her mom, putting on her best "who, me?" face. "I was just getting a cup of hot chocolate, Mom," she said, trying to sound as convincing as possible.

But Sophia was no fool. She noticed the bruise on Emily's hand and raised an eyebrow. "How did you get this?" she asked, her voice tinged with concern. Alexander and Emily exchanged a quick glance, and then Emily launched into a ridiculous story about falling down. Sophia looked skeptical, but before she could press the issue further, Emily started embellishing her story, adding more and more outlandish details.

The crowd that had gathered around them couldn't help but watch the exchange, their faces filled with a mix of amusement and skepticism. They knew that Emily and Alexander were lying, but they couldn't help but be entertained by the show. One of them whispered, "Look at them, trying to cover up together. It's like they're two peas in a pod, lying to her mother like that."

Another person nodded in agreement, grinning. "And Emily's so convincing, too. I almost believe her story about falling." The crowd's whispers and snickers grew louder, and Sophia's eyes narrowed, her gaze flicking between Emily and Alexander. She knew that something was off, but she couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Just then, Sophia's eyes scanned the crowd, and she smiled wryly. "Are you guys hiding something?" she asked, her voice firm but amused. Alexander and Emily exchanged a quick glance, before looking back at Sophia with innocent expressions. However, they couldn't help but glare at the crowd, their eyes flashing with warning.

The crowd, still whispering and snickering, looked up at Sophia with sheepish expressions. "Yes, she fell," one of them said, trying to stifle a grin. Sophia nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. "Walk carefully, and don't be greedy about the hot chocolate again," she said, her voice firm but playful.

The crowd chuckled, and Alexander and Emily exchanged a relieved glance. They knew they had dodged a bullet, and they were grateful for Sophia's quick thinking. But little did they know, the crowd was still whispering among themselves, wondering what would happen if they told the truth. "What if we told the truth?" one of them asked, their eyes darting nervously towards Alexander and Emily.
