The days that followed were a blur of kindness and support. Chan stayed by my side, helping me navigate the aftermath of the attack. He was always there, whether it was carrying my books, walking me to practice, or simply sitting with me while I recovered. Every time I looked up, he was there, his warm smile making everything feel just a bit better.

The news of the girls who had bullied me spread quickly through JYP, and I learned they had been banned from the company permanently. It felt surreal to know they could no longer affect my life, that their power over me had been stripped away. The relief was overwhelming, and it allowed me to breathe easier, knowing I could focus on my training and friendships without fear of their harassment.

I found myself drawn to one particular male trainee: Park Jun-Pyo. He was short, with brunette hair, and just 21 years old. An exceptional rapper and dancer, he caught my attention. One day, I approached him.

"Hello," I said.

"Oh, hi!" he replied, bending down to tie his shoelace. "Talking for the first time, huh? I'm Jun-Pyo."

"I know," I replied.

"Wow, the princess knows me!" he chuckled. "You're living the dream life of many STAYS. I wish I could get closer to them like you do."

His words made me think of Felix's gentle kiss in the janitor's closet. "Oh, you really don't," I sighed, trying to dismiss the thought. He looked confused, but I just waved it off.

Turning around, I spotted Chan and the other seven members. Chan walked up to me and suddenly knelt down.

"You're such a baby, aren't you?" he teased, tying my loose shoelaces. "Just like my younger brother, Lucas."

Just then, I noticed Felix standing a little off to the side, his arms crossed tightly over his chest. He was watching us, and there was a distinct look of jealousy etched on his face.

I raised an eyebrow, curious about what could be bothering him. Felix usually had that warm, easygoing smile, but right now, it was replaced with a scowl. It was odd to see him like this, especially since I hadn't noticed any tension between us.

"Hey, Felix!" I called out, trying to lighten the mood. "Come join us! We're just having some fun."

He looked up at me, and for a brief moment, his expression softened. "I'm good over here," he replied, but the tightness in his voice told me otherwise.

Jun-Pyo caught my eye and winked at me, clearly enjoying himself, and I couldn't help but laugh at his antics. But Felix's posture made me uneasy. Did he really care that much about me talking to Jun-Pyo? Or was it something deeper?

I turned my attention back to Chan and Jun-Pyo, trying to shake off the feeling. "So, what's next on the agenda?" I asked, eager to change the subject and bring Felix back to the conversation.

"Stop worrying about plans for once... go get some rest," Jun-Pyo said, flashing me a small smile.

"Alright, alright, I'll head back to my dorm," I replied, rolling my eyes playfully. Then I turned to Chan. "Oh, Chan hyung, could you send me another audio file? I think I'm actually getting better at Korean."

"Sure" Chan said grinning widely.

"Also, also," I said, holding up my hands to show him my nails. "I painted them maroon. What do you think?"

"Oh, it looks great!" he replied, ruffling my hair playfully. "Way better than the beige you did last time. And just to be clear, I'm not blaming the color—it's just that you got some paint on your skin last time."

"Noooooo!" I protested dramatically. "We had a deal not to mention the nail disaster from last time!"

Chan laughed, running his fingers through his blonde hair.

Jeongin pov-

I was hanging out by the practice room, scrolling through my phone while the others talked nearby. I glanced up and immediately noticed Felix standing a little ways off, watching Eva with a tense expression as she spoke to Chan. Felix's arms were crossed, and his jaw was set. I knew Felix well enough to tell that something was definitely off.

When Eva left, heading toward her dorm, Felix stayed behind, staring after her with this look that was part longing, part frustration. Finally, he let out a sharp breath, like he'd made up his mind, and marched over to where Chan was packing up his things.

"Hey, Chan," Felix said, his voice low but serious.

Chan looked up, a bit surprised. "What's up, Lix?"

Felix didn't waste any time. "Why are you spending so much time with Eva? What's going on between you two?" There was a barely disguised edge to his voice.

Chan frowned, clearly taken aback. "What do you mean?" he said, straightening up.

"You know exactly what I mean, hyung. You're always around her, sending her stuff to help with Korean, making her laugh... like you're the only one she can rely on," Felix shot back, his voice rising. "Do you... like her?"

Chan's face changed, his expression going dark. For a moment, he stayed silent, as if debating how much to say. Then he threw his bag over his shoulder and looked Felix straight in the eyes.

"Why do you care so much, Felix?" he snapped, anger flaring in his voice. "Yes, alright? I like her. More than just a normal friendship." His voice was a little unsteady, like he hadn't meant to confess it like this. "But what difference does it make to you?"

Felix's face fell, and he took a step back, clearly stunned. I could see the confusion and hurt in his eyes, but he didn't say a word. I was frozen too, shocked by what I was hearing.

Chan looked away, his anger fading just as quickly as it had flared up. He seemed to realize the weight of what he'd just admitted. With a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair, avoiding Felix's gaze.

"I'm sorry," he muttered, sounding almost defeated. "I didn't mean for it to be like this. But... maybe you should ask yourself why it bothers you so much."

Felix just stood there, staring at the ground, lost for words. And in that moment, I realized something big was happening—bigger than any of us had realized.

"I kissed her," Felix said defiantly. "You did not. Just deal with it, Chris."

With that, Felix turned and walked away. I swallowed hard, glancing at Chan. I could see the veins bulging in his neck as he clenched his fists, and the tension in his arms was unmistakable.
