Aera?

"I just realized I don't have your number, Lix," I said, sprawled out on the couch. He was sitting beside me, close enough for me to catch the faint scent of his cologne.

"You need my number?" he asked, a small smile tugging at his lips. Without waiting for an answer, he took my hand and carefully wrote it down, his touch light but deliberate.

"Text me later, okay?" he said, meeting my eyes for a moment.

I nodded, a bit too quickly. It had been three days since I joined Bubbles & Bliss—three days since I'd been eliminated.

Felix stood up, leaning down to press a soft kiss on my forehead before heading for the door. As it closed behind him, I sat there, staring at the digits on my hand, my heartbeat just a little uneven.

I pulled out my phone and quickly punched in the digits. But what popped up on my screen was completely unexpected:
The number you entered already exists.

I froze, staring at the notification. Curiosity got the better of me, and I tapped on it. It opened up... Lix's chat?

For a moment, I wondered if my phone was glitching.

Kidding. Just kidding.

I'm not one of those clueless Wattpad characters who somehow leave their common sense behind in the fridge. It didn't take me long to figure it out—Lix and Felix were one and the same. I had been talking to an idol all along.

My heart raced.

Felix wanted to play this game? Fine, let's play. I'll pretend I don't know the truth.
I called him up. "Hey, Lix. Something weird happened—when I tried to save your number, it somehow linked to another online friend's contact. I think my phone's going haywire."
The moment I said it, I cringed internally. Why did I sound so dumb?

Felix just laughed, his voice light. "Ah, it's fine—just get it fixed."

Paboracha, the squad of Han, Minho, and Hyunjin, always felt like it needed one more person to round it out. And honestly, Felix was the perfect fit.

I glanced at my phone wallpaper and couldn't help but smile to myself. I looked so cute as a child. Then, I started scrolling through Facebook and found a few old photos.

One was with Mrs. Kang, my mom, and another was a sweet picture of me with Hannah, my biological sister. But when I tried to recall the faces of Mrs. and Mr. Bang, something felt off.

It was as if their faces were a blur. Why couldn't I remember them clearly? Had I forgotten them somehow? Was it the result of my dad's beatings that wiped them from my memory?

I groaned loudly as I tried to adjust my position, only to tumble right onto the floor. Of course, I had forgotten it was the couch, not a bed.

Just then, I heard a cute little laugh and turned around to see a toddler grinning at me. "Silly noona!" he giggled.

"Who even are you?" I asked, confused.

"Spiderman! Whoshhh!" he declared, running back and forth.

I blinked, and then my eyes widened. Was this Felix's kid?

I quickly crouched down and asked, "Where are your parents, kiddo?"

He tugged at my sleeve and pulled me toward the window, pointing at the sky. "Superman. Superwoman."

"Huh?"

"Mom and dad are saving people. They're both superheroes!" the little one explained excitedly.

I sighed, feeling a mix of sadness and amusement, before lifting him up.

"What's your name, kiddo?"

"Spiderman!"

"Your real name?"

"Spidey."

"Very helpful," I muttered sarcastically, but I couldn't help but smile.

"I am-" he answered. "I am Ji-hoo"

"Nice name Jihoo" I said. I heard a woman outside - "Jihoo-ya....where are youuuu?"

"HEREEEEE" he shouted back. He kissed my cheek and got out of my hold to run out. I sighed and wore my glasses. I ran out to Bubbles & Bliss for my work when suddenly I got dizzy. I held my head in pain and sat down at the pavement. My head felt like it was getting hammered on.

"Hey" I heard someone say and I looked up to find Olivia.

"Oh hey" I said grinning ear to ear. Olivia made my life better with the natural Lee aura. Felix had a stronger Lee aura though. "Are you ok?" she asked me. I nodded - "Just a migraine"

I stood up again - "What are the updates on survival show?"

"They made Jun-Pyo the new leader." she said. "I liked you more though"

"I got eliminated in the 5th Episode" I reminded her. She took her phone and scrolled to a few comments:

Unknown: Unfair on how she got eliminated, Eva Kang deserved to stay

San_kan_Zan: Is JYP hell bent on sending away the best ones?

Om_: Geez I wanted Eva to stay

N.Love: Gonna boycott JYP #Evaneedstocomeback #JYPboycottcampaign

I smiled - "Well I got a few fans"

"You did. Also Eva, I need to tell you something" Olivia said. "Tell me when you get free time. Ok?"

"Okay" I said and ran for work again. She was just out of sight when i got another round of pain. I sighed and then began walking slowly. Before I could reach the store I found Bangchan walking with a man (his dad) and his mother- AERA!?

"Aera?" I called out. She looked at me - "Oh hiii"

Bangchan paused - "You both know each other?"

"Yeah she helped me back in Sydney- gosh you are his mother?" I asked her pointing at Chan. She nodded and gave me a warm hug - "So how is it going Eva? The last message of you just said you are going on a survival show. After that you never texted me"

"I got eliminated in Episode 5," I said casually. Her face fell. "Oh—"

"It's fine, really," I reassured her quickly. "I've got a job at Bubbles & Bliss now. It's actually pretty fun working there."

"You look familiar," Mr. Bang interjected, narrowing his eyes as he studied me. His demeanor sent a chill down my spine—he looked like an underboss straight out of a mafia film, more intimidating than Christopher when he's angry.

"I... I have one of those faces," I stammered, trying to laugh it off. Why did he look creepy?

"Stop staring at her" Chan said laughing.
