"I got invited to Chan's Thanksgiving dinner?" I asked Hyunjin, my voice full of confusion. He nodded while slipping on his shirt.

"He invited all of Stray Kids, and then his mom told him to invite you, too," Changbin added, helping Hyunjin button up his shirt.

"I... why would I go? I just want to sleep," I groaned, sinking deeper into the couch.

Hyunjin chuckled softly and patted my back. "It's Thanksgiving. You're family. We're not leaving you out."

I scoffed, shrugging away his hand. "Family? I'm just some random girl who failed the survival show and got kicked out of JYP. You're letting me stay here out of pity, not because I belong."

Hyunjin's smile faltered for a moment, and he sat down next to me on the couch. "Listen, it's not pity," he said gently, his voice soft but firm. "We're all here because we want you here. You might not have made it through the show, but that doesn't mean you're any less important to us."

I shifted uncomfortably, avoiding their gazes. "But I feel like I don't belong... like I'm just taking up space."

"You're not taking up space," Hyunjin said with a slight chuckle, nudging me. "You've always had a place with us, even if you can't see it yet. Don't overthink it. Just come with us to the dinner and enjoy yourself."

I sighed, feeling a mix of frustration and warmth. They were all so persistent, so kind in a way I didn't feel like I deserved. "I don't know..."

"You know," Changbin said, his tone lightening, "if you don't go, I'll tell Chan you turned down free food, and we all know how much you love food."

I rolled my eyes, though a small smile tugged at my lips. "You're impossible."

"But we love you anyway," Hyunjin added, grinning.

I let out a long breath, finally giving in. "Fine, I'll go. But don't expect me to be all cheerful or anything."

"That's all we ask," Changbin teased. "Just come and be yourself."

I smiled a little - "Fine i will get rea- i don't have proper clothes for a thanksgiving party."

"You do." Changbin said walking to my assigned bedroom and took some clothes out.

For a while they both couldn't find a good dress because - COME ON my dad doesn't buy me good stuff.

But after a lot of searching Changbin held out one. He gave it to me and asked me to go and change.

"Hmm nice. Now your hair looks like a pigeon nest. Let me" Hyunjin said gently, pulling out my hairband.

He carefully started applying hair gel to my hair, gently combing it through. I couldn't help but feel embarrassed—my hair loss was becoming more obvious with each stroke. As Hyunjin combed, I noticed strands of my hair coming away with the comb, making it all the more apparent.

"I'm so embarrassed right now," I said, instinctively covering my cheeks as they warmed up. Where are dinosaurs when you need them?

"It's okay, I lose hair too. It's normal," Hyunjin reassured me. Changbin, grinning, chimed in, "You'd make a great dad, Hyunjin."

Hyunjin looked puzzled. "What's so great about this? All fathers do this, right?"

I couldn't help but think of my own father. When had he ever touched my hair?

Oh. Right. When he'd yank me by it to drag me somewhere.

"Hm" I said. He styled my hair beautifully and patted my back - "There you go. If I was straight i would have asked you out already" Hyunjin joked and winked.
