"Ahh!!! How are you winning every game!? Damn it. Is this really your first time?!" Akira exclaimed, her voice tinged with disbelief and frustration.
Shoto chuckled softly, a rare and genuine sound. "Maybe I’m just a fast learner," he replied, his calm demeanor contrasting sharply with her growing irritation. Her exaggerated pout made him suppress a smile.
"Kawaii," he thought, quickly averting his gaze to avoid letting the thought linger too long.
The two of them stood in the bustling arcade, surrounded by flashing lights and the hum of electronic games. Akira had taken it upon herself to teach Shoto the ropes, hoping to show off her skills and challenge him in a few games. Yet, to her utter dismay, he had won every single match, from racing to rhythm games.
Akira, determined not to admit defeat, pointed at a digital shooting game titled "Zombie Apocalypse." "Let’s try that one! I’m an expert at it. There’s no way you’ll win this time," she declared, her confidence unwavering.
Shoto tilted his head slightly, amusement flickering in his mismatched eyes. "Well… all the best," he said, his tone polite yet teasing.

Shoto Todoroki’s POV
She grabbed my arm and led me to the shooting game, her excitement bubbling over as she explained the controls and strategy. I nodded along, though my focus wasn’t really on the game.
I had been watching her the entire time. Now that I realized it, she had completely captivated me. Every expression she made—whether it was the way her lips pursed in concentration, her triumphant grin, or even her exaggerated frown—was incredibly cute. I couldn’t help but feel a heat rise in my cheeks whenever I looked at her.
And her outfit today… it was different. A cute dress that suited her so well, far from her usual U.A. uniform. I never imagined she’d wear something like this, and I couldn’t stop thinking about how radiant she looked.
I don’t doubt it anymore. She’s the one. I’m in love with her.
"Shoto?"
Her voice startled me from my thoughts.
"Yes?" I asked, blinking as I met her curious gaze.
"You were staring at me, but you looked totally zoned out. Is something wrong?"
Her concern made my heart skip a beat. I felt my face heat up even more. "No—nothing," I stammered, trying to sound composed.
She raised an eyebrow, clearly unconvinced. "Really? Your face is red."
Damn it. I quickly looked away, trying to steer the conversation elsewhere. "Umm… let’s resume the game. It’s my turn, right?"
I ended up winning again.
"Why?! How are you so good at this?!" she exclaimed, throwing her hands up in frustration.
"Akira, people are staring," I said softly, noticing the growing attention around us.
Sure enough, the whispers started.
"Isn’t that Shoto Todoroki?"
"And Akira Gojo?"
"Are they on a date?!"
"They look so good together!"
"She’s so beautiful!"
"Todoroki is so handsome!"I glanced at Akira and immediately noticed her face turning crimson. I’d never seen her this flustered before. It made my heart pound even harder, almost painfully so.
"We should leave," we both muttered in unison, exchanging a quick glance before nodding.
With synchronized bows to the small crowd that had gathered, we quickly made our way out of the arcade, avoiding eye contact with anyone else.
