The Kraang Conspiracy

The Turtles cheer as they run and flip across the rooftops.

"Come on, April! You're getting there!" Kaida reassures her as she leaps across the rooftop.

April pants for breath as she tries to catch up, stopping herself, "I never...understood how turtles could...could be so...so fast!"

"Come on, April! This is just the warm-up!" Mikey told her as the others made their way back to her.

Kaida helps her up to her feet, "Just take a few breaths."

"The warm-up? For two hours?" April asks, "Did you have to do that too?"

Kaida nods, "Mhm."

"That's what ninjas do! Training sometimes lasts four, five hours at a time. Awesome, right?" Leo chuckles, "Yeah!"

April looks at Kaida with wide eyes, "You trained for four to five hours?"

"Oh, no...sometimes I might push it a little for six."

"Six?! Are you kidding me? I'm gonna puke!"

"I got you." Kaida holds out a water bottle to her, "Just take small sips. Take it easy."

"What about a real mission?" April asks before she takes small sips.

"It took fifteen years of training before Master Splinter let us go on a "real mission". You got a long way to go, sister." Raph told her.

Kaida shrugs her shoulders, "Eh. I took me a couple years before Shredder let me go on a real mission."

"A couple years?!" April nearly choked on her water.

"Besides, April is getting closer and closer everyday. Not to mention that she has given us reliable intel and even snuck past Kraangdroids to get it." Kaida wraps an arm around her best friend, "As long as April sticks by me, she'll be safe. Trust me on that."

"Maybe we should take her on more missions, Leo." Donnie says, "It makes sense."

"Yeah! The best training she could have is hanging with the ninjas!" Mikey exclaims.

"Uh-uh. No way. It's too dangerous." Leo told his brothers.

"What if something happens to her?" Raph adds.

"Then I will take full responsibility for it." Kaida told her friends.

"Kaida, you're still a little injured." Leo told her.

"What does my injury have to do with this? I can defend April and myself perfectly fine against-" the ravenette cuts herself off when she snaps her head to the side, "...Someone's watching."

"What?"

April groans as she clutches her head, "My head!" she stops, looking at her best friend, "She's right. I think there's someone watching us. Right over there!"

The group turn to see a mysterious figure watching from behind a water tower

"Get him!" Leo and Mikey shout before the six take off after the retreating figure.

"Grappling hooks!" Leo commands as the four Turtles fire their grappling hooks and zipline to the other side.

"Aw, yeah!"

Kaida fires her grappling hook before noticing April having trouble with hers.

"Stupid grappling hook!"

Kaida grabs her by the waist, "Hold on."

April holds onto her and screams lightly as the two zipline across.
