You know I own multiple companies," I say, looking at her. "Right," she says slowly, letting the word roll off her tongue, waiting for me to continue. "You know that grocery store I own right down from the warehouse?" "Yeah," she said, looking at me with her curious eyes. "Well," I say with a laugh, "that warehouse doesn't only carry food products. Is that why Greyson raided the warehouse?" she asks. "Right, but I'm always two steps ahead. My father knew he was up to something, so I had the guys move all the drugs and guns out to the safe house downtown.
"You know I'm smarter than you think I am, but what you don't know, I choose to forget. I've seen the stained bloody shirts and the gun you hide by your nightstand. The secret security that follows me everywhere I go, but what I don't know won't hurt. So what do we need to do to take Greyson down?" "We need to see how much information he had on me," Cooper said before pulling me in for a kiss.

"Why don't you just ask him?" Greyson said as he looked from his computer in his office. "Cooper, it's not that simple. He's not just going to tell me if he's in some type of mafia." "Come on, Freya, don't be ridiculous. What signs has he shown?" "Greyson, I'm being serious, and can you please see if you can find something? I just want to know who the hell he really is. What if I'm dating a serious killer?" "I can't with you," Greyson said lightly, hitting me on the shoulder as we both laughed.
Flashback End"I thought I told you to call that off," I yell at Greyson as I enter his apartment. "Freya, I got some good stuff. I just need your help to prove it." "Greyson, what do I look like? I came to you as a friend last year just to hear you trying to bring Cooper down with what I told you. That hurt me. I understand you want a better name for yourself, but don't use the Maddens to get a promotion."
"Why the hell do you care, Freya? You don't want for nothing," Greyson says, walking back in. "How much money do you want?" I ask him as he stops in his tracks. "100k, that's the lowest I can go," Greyson says. "That's it?" I ask him as I laugh in his face. "Done," I say as I put my phone back into my pocket. "It will reach your account by tomorrow morning, and oh," I say before I walk out, "if you even think about trying to get someone else to do your dirty work, your career won't be the only thing that's dead." I entered the car. "It's done," I say, looking over at Cooper. "Good job, baby. I'm starting to think you're crazier than me," he says, pulling me in for a kiss. "Who's next?" I ask Cooper as a joke.
There are only a few dummies in this world who try to come for us, and he is one of them. But trust me, darling, he will be back, and next time we're doing it my way," I say to Freya as I look her in the eyes. "I know my friend, he's not that stupid," she said with hope in her voice. "And darling, the next time you open your mouth to someone about me, you won't be able to talk for days. I hate to ruin those pretty lil lips of yours."
"Sir, don't threaten me with a good time, I would hate to get my hopes up," she said, sliding her hand up my leg slowly before exiting the car. Following right behind her, I put my hand on the lower of her back and whispered into her ear, "Don't forget, I can press one little button and have you on your knees begging for me," I smirked coldly.Freya pursed her lips slowly, trying not to show her reaction that her body is giving her as we passed by people in the ball.
"Freya, Camila yelled, running up to hug my darling. I missed you so much," Freya said to my little sister. "How is college treating you?" "Nothing like high school, I'm getting used to it though," my sister Camila said with a smile. As we walked to our table, "Oh, this is Luka," Camila said, introducing us to her boyfriend. "Nice to meet you," Freya said with a smile. "Have we met before?" I asked the young boy, not looking intimidated by me.
"My oldest brother, Enzo, works for you," Luka said to me, stuttering. "It's a pleasure," I said, calling the waitress over to our table. "Can you replace this alcohol with sparkling water, please," I said as I placed my hand under the table on my darling's thigh.
