Who Would Have Thought

"How do you know all this? I don't understand," I asked Enzo with a confused expression. "Because Miles Gadsdon is my father," Enzo said, looking at me and waiting for my reaction. "Why are you telling me this now, after all this time?" I asked, trying to take in the fact that my whole life was based on lies. "Because Cooper is getting suspicious of me, and I don't want to leave this earth without telling my young sister how much I was always protecting her, even when you couldn't see me."

"Getting this job so I could be closer to you, and at first, I wasn't going to tell you, I was just going to love you in silence. But the more I was around you, I realized how much you needed a big brother sometimes. It hurts me to my guts when I couldn't be there for you, Freya, and I'm sorry. We have a fuck up father who did messed-up things, but we all we got." Enzo let go of his breath that he didn't realize he was holding. Pulling him into a hug, I said, "I'm so glad you're here. I always wanted siblings, but my mom, God bless her soul, only stopped with me."
"You need to tell Cooper," I tried to say before I heard a dark, cold voice behind me. "Tell Cooper what?" my husband asked as I pulled away from my brother Enzo's hug. His evil laugh made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. "Come on, don't stop hugging because I walked out here," he said. "Please stop," I said to him, looking at him annoyed. "You just don't fucking listen," he said, pulling out his gun and pointing it at Enzo. "Just tell him, Enzo," I yelled with fear in my voice.

"Boss, Freya is my sister. I know the feeling of trying to protect her, not wanting her to get hurt. It burns through my veins the same way."Cooper's body automatically calmed down, lowering his gun and putting it away. "I thought I was going to have to kill you," Cooper said, pulling Enzo into a tight hug, trying to hold back the tears that wanted to escape his eyes. "I love you too, boss," Enzo said with a big smile. "Let's go inside, we're hungry," I said, looking down at my stomach. "Is that June yelling?" I asked as we walked back downstairs.
"Give me my phone," Waylon yelled, snatching his phone out of June's hand. "Really, Waylon? The wedding planner? How did you manage to fuck her?" June asked him with a disgusted look on her face. Please don't act surprised. You're too busy worrying about your best friend's life that you can't even take care of what's at home first. "Please stop, not while we're on vacation," I said, trying to calm them down.

But June proceeded to try to snatch Waylon's phone out of his hand again, but he pinned her against the wall. "Stop playing with me," he yelled into her face. I started to get emotional out of nowhere because out of all people, June knows how much this trip means. "Darling, don't cry," Cooper said, pulling me into a hug.
"I just want everyone to be happy," I tried to say through my cries. "Let go of me," June yelled as Waylon still had her pinned against the wall. "Not until you calm down," he said, looking into her eyes. "What did we walk into?" Chloe asked as she and Milo came from the back room. "What were y'all doing?" Enzo asked Milo, and he just laughed. "Do you want to talk about it?" I asked my best friend June before she tried to walk away. "I'm done with him, Freya. I'm nothing like you," June said with sass in her voice. "Watch your damn mouth," Cooper spoke before I could.

"No, it's okay, baby. She's been feeling this way about me," I said, trying to calm the situation. "June, all I ever asked you to be was real to me, so I understand when you express the way you felt about my life. But you were all for me until I got with Cooper. 'Because you changed, Freya,' she yelled in front of everyone. 'How? June, tell me how the hell did I change when every time you called, I was there. You got mad at me for spending time with my own boyfriend. You're the one who told me I had the right to be mad at Cooper and Summer, then turned around and praised the ground that they walk on.

"You never asked me how I felt about that. 'Calm down, darling, it's not good for the baby,' my husband said as I sat down in the chair. 'June, you no longer get to sit here and look down on me when I've accomplished everything you ever wanted. Is that why you're really mad? Huh, June? Do you want my life for yourself? Is that why you're so obsessed with me?' I asked her as she just stood there looking dumbfounded.
