There Is Light At The End Of The Tunnel

"Fuck it, go be with her then if that's going to make you feel better. Go act like she didn't try to kill you to be with the person you love. Is that what you want, Freya? I'm tired of protecting you just so you can be mad at everybody but the person who tried to screw you over.
You're not the only person who's hurt here. She played with Waylon's feelings too, did you forget?" He asked me with a disappointed voice. "Now get ready and come down," he said, exiting the door.

Sitting at the dinner table, I ate my food slowly while everyone else laughed and talked about old stories. Tessa was there, and Waylon looked happier than he ever had before. What do you do when everybody else is moving on with their lives, but you still can't seem to let go of the version of that person you created in your head? I came back to reality when my husband touched my lower back under the table, rubbing it slowly while talking to my brother Enzo.

A smile appeared on my face when Chloe told me how much I was glowing, and I looked down at my baby bump. "I can't believe we're going to Jamaica tomorrow," I said to her, smiling. "Yes, we're about to get lit!" Chloe yelled, and we both laughed. "Not too lit," Cooper said, looking down at my belly. "Oh, baby, don't be a party pooper. For every shot we take, I'll take a second one for Freya," Chloe said to everyone at the table. "Let's not do that," Milo said, looking at Chloe. They were just made for each other. I always wanted a simple love story, but mine was everything but that.

Dinner was over, and now I was just laying in my bed, feeling lazy. This little one inside of me made me tired. I did manage to take a shower while everybody else downstairs packed for tomorrow. My eyes opened slowly as I was about to fall asleep, only to see my husband shirtless in front of me. "I want you to remember this night forever," he said calmly, letting the word 'forever' roll off his tongue. "And how are you going to do that?" I said in my sleepy voice, with a yawn.
Any other man would have gone to bed and let their pregnant wife sleep, but not Cooper Madden. He started from my feet, kissing up my whole body. With every kiss, he would look at me with those blue ocean eyes. Cooper knew all the right places to touch me; it was like he studied my body. Everything he did was with love. "Give me a kiss," I said as he came closer to my neck. "Not yet," he said with a smile on his lips, kissing me on my ear.

"Cooper, we're not at the mansion. These walls are not soundproof," I said before he went in for a kiss. "I'll be on my best behavior tonight," he said, sliding my nightdress up to reveal my naked skin before picking me up and taking me outside to our balcony.
"I know how much you love this view," I said to Freya as I came up behind her. The sound of waves sang into the night air as my darling moaned into my ear. "You feel so good," I said to her gently, with a groan. We gave each other the feeling that we both needed. My darling's moans almost sounded like cries as my body was overtaken by this feeling that I craved and she wanted. When our bodies were together, all worries no longer existed. "Open your eyes," I whispered into her ear softly, holding her head up as we both looked at the ocean and the dark blue sky, meeting each other halfway. The warm wind came across our naked skin.

"Freya, wake up, we're here," a voice said that I recognized. I opened my eyes slowly to be met with a car. "Did I really sleep that long?" I asked my husband, as he still had his hands wrapped around me.
"The flight was early this morning, so I knew you would," Cooper said, still looking me in my eyes. "I did expect you to wake up when I carried you to the car, but I guess our baby got a hold on you." "He or she controls my whole body; it's already acting like you," I said jokingly. "If it's a girl, I want her to take after her perfect mother," he said, holding my stomach.

"Nobody's perfect, Cooper," I said with a laugh. "Are you calling me a liar?" he asked, his voice getting deeper. The hair on the back of my neck stood up as he slid his hand down. "Because I can show you how perfect you really are," Cooper whispered, his possessive voice making my whole body freeze.
