I wouldn't Ask For Anything Better

After the long honeymoon, we were back in Charlotte. It felt good seeing the fancy resorts and the luxury side of Jamaica. After Jamaica, we thought it would be best to let Grandma Lara stay with us at the mansion. I must say she almost had a heart attack when she saw the inside; maybe I should have given her a heads-up. I haven't spoken to June since that incident in the Bahamas. I heard she moved back home; I really hope she finds what's best for her. My brother Enzo and I have created the best bond; who would have thought he would have a fiancé? Yeah, I was surprised too.

He's very private when it comes to his love life and family. Waylon and Tessa are doing better; they had a rough start because of Waylon's trust issues. I told him to try therapy, but men, like Cooper and Waylon, don't believe in that. That's all they've ever known; can't blame them. Chloe is holding it down at work; she's amazing. I try to help her out when Cooper isn't looking. And what we've all been waiting for: married life. It honestly feels maturing. I can say my relationship is so much better. Yes, we argue like normal couples.
I just got into a fight with him about eating my food. Who eats a pregnant lady's food? Sometimes I feel like he does stuff intentionally. I'm now eight months along, and boy, am I tired of being pregnant. I can no longer do anything for myself; I can't even see my feet. All I did was walk to the kitchen and was out of breath, and Cooper laughed at me—such a good husband, right? Well, until I start purposely crying to make him feel bad.

We are currently on our way to my doctor's appointment. I am craving some really good seafood. "Can we stop there after?" I ask my husband as we pass by the best seafood place in town.
"That's not good for the baby," he says, rubbing my stomach as he drives.
"That's what she wants," I say in my fake sassy voice.
"I'll tell Nelle to make it for you; that way, I know it's clean. Are you okay with that, darling?" he asks.
"Of course," I say with a smile.

"She looks perfect," Dr. Orion says, wiping the gel off my belly. "I just need to ask you a few questions before you go. Any signs of bleeding?"
"No."
"Any pain anywhere in your body?" Dr. Orion asks.
"Yes, my back and my feet."
"Well, that's normal; just try to take it easy. How is your sex drive?"
"It's in between," I say shyly.
"I thought mine was bad, but Cooper—" I say his name before he can say something embarrassing.
"I'm not complaining," he adds.
"Well, see you next week. Take it easy," Dr. Orion says with a laugh. "Oh, Cooper, can I talk to you for a second?"
"I'm going to pee," Freya says, rushing out of the room.
"It's Waylon. His mental health has gotten worse. I gave him medicine, but that's all I can do. He needs some real help," Dr. Orion said.
"I'll handle it," I say, walking out the door and looking for my wife.
"Freya!" I call, knocking on the women's bathroom door.

"Come in," I hear her call out.
"Cooper, I need help," she says while trying to pull up her pants.
"I actually like you a lot better this way," I say as I come behind her.
"I can't even see my feet, Cooper."
"Your butt has gotten bigger. How am I just noticing this?" I say, going for a feel.
"Please just pull my damn pants up so we can get out of this bathroom," she said seriously.
"Thank you," she adds when I do so.

"I'm not about to let you give me that shot," Waylon said.
"It's only meant to help you. I know June took a toll on you, and it's okay not to be okay, but don't let her ruin what you and Tessa have going,"
