Better Then I Imagine

"What's so important that we have to call a meeting on my honeymoon?" I asked Enzo as I leaned back in my office chair. "I finally figured out June's weaknesses," Enzo said with a strange smirk on his face. "It's as clear as day that it's Freya," I said to Enzo, not understanding where he was getting at. "That's what I thought too," Enzo said with a laugh, "but after spying on her and doing some research like you asked, it ain't nobody but the devil himself."

I stood up from my chair and everything clicked in my mind all at once. "That's why she didn't want Freya to marry me," I said out loud, trying to piece everything together in my mind. "Yep, she wants you for herself, boss. She craves the darkness and possessiveness in you, something that Waylon has never been for her," Enzo said. That's when it hit me. Waylon had been bending over backward trying to make June happy, only for her to decline him at night. My best friend had been thinking it was him the whole time, when in reality, his girl was secretly obsessed with his own best friend.
"So, what are we going to do about it, boss?" Enzo asked, waiting for me to tell him to jump so he could ask how high. "We're going to wait for shit to hit the fan. I've got to give that to you, Enzo. I didn't think you had it in you," I said to him with a proud look on my face. "I'm just doing my job, that's all," Enzo said, not trying to sound cocky. "You're my best hitman, so don't let your eyes get you in trouble," I said, showing him camera footage of my darling on my phone.

"Boss, I can explain," Enzo tried to talk before I cut him off by yelling, "I've got eyes everywhere. There are too many damn women walking around for you to be looking at mine. I would hate for Luka to lose his big brother," I said with an evil smirk. The fear in his eyes when he heard his brother's name almost made me laugh. "Loosen up, man," I said, hitting Enzo's shoulder jokingly. "I know Freya is beautiful as hell, just don't let it happen again," I said with a laugh as he showed a half smile back.
I never thought I would be having dinner on a yacht that was so big it just exudes luxury. The warm wind hit my melanin skin and pushed my long boho braids against my skin. How did I get so lucky? Cooper came up behind me, sliding his hand down my white mini dress. Turning around to face his masculine body, I said, "I could say the same," while sliding my hands down his muscular arms. He tipped my chin up, meeting his cold blue eyes as I bit the lip liner on my lip slowly, feeling butterflies in my stomach.

Cooper pulled me to his chest with force. "How can you be so innocent and still drive me crazy?" he asked as he placed his hand on my lower back. "Because I'm authentic," I said, smiling at my husband. Cooper walked us back inside the yacht, sitting on the first couch he saw and pulling me onto his lap. "What about dinner?" I asked. "It can wait," he said, pulling me back into a kiss and lifting up my mini dress. Our lips broke apart until I felt him inside and his head laid into my neck.
My moans filled the air as he controlled the rhythm with his hands wrapped around my waist. "Nobody could ever replace you, darling," Cooper's voice was deep and velvety, making me tighten my muscles around him as he groaned into my ear, letting himself go. As we sat there in silence, not wanting to take this moment away, I said, "I'm going to get cleaned up," pulling away from his hold. "This is better than I imagined life would work itself out for you," I said, rubbing my stomach and looking at my reflection in the mirror.
I tried to relax my nerves as I watched the waves moving in front of me. "Are you full?" my husband asked as he took a sip of his wine. "Yes, sir, I am," I said, rubbing my hard stomach. "Am I crazy or did my stomach get bigger overnight?" I asked Cooper with a laugh. "No, there's a little baby bump," he said with a smile. "I can't wait to meet you," I said, still looking down at my stomach. "But we're going to enjoy our time while you're in there," Cooper said, putting his hand on my belly gently.

"Why are you out here by yourself?" I asked Enzo as I shut the balcony slide door. "Freya, can I ask you a question?" Enzo asked, looking over the balcony at the beautiful view. I looked back at him, shaking my head yes. "That night your parents got into a car accident, it was only one car, right?" "Yeah, that's what the police said when they arrived at the scene," I said with a shaky voice. "It was a set-up," Enzo said, with an angry look in his eyes. That same look I had for my father.
