Context: Inspired by gribouli's art of Crowley looking at himself in a mirror with the Undertale text. Since it works so well, I just HAD to do something with it.
When Aziraphale returned to Earth, his hope was to find Crowley and, hopefully, he could mend their friendship. Instead, he found a demon who had no idea who he was.

Aziraphale was incredibly relieved that he was able to stop The Second Coming just as he had planned. He had only pretended to agree with The Metatron to infiltrate Heaven. He managed to delete the plans for The Second Coming and he erased everyone's memories of the whole thing. This included Gabriel's betrayal and exit, as well as the circumstances of his own promotion to Heaven's Supreme Archangel. As far as anyone was concerned, Gabriel himself promoted Aziraphale and then retired to Alpha Centuri. It had worked flawlessly and now he was able to return to his shop.
When he first entered, he was met with a few people perusing among the shelves. They didn't seem to interested in buying anything, just passing the time. And if they were, they quickly changed their minds when Muriel came around the corner saying that everyone needed to leave, because it was closing time. One potential customer even complained about the shop being open for barely half an hour. Aziraphale chuckled at that and this was when Muriel noticed him.
"Oh, hello Mr. Fell!"
He hadn't erased Muriel's memories because he knew they were one of the few good ones. He made sure that they'd have a good office Upstairs, should they decide to go back.
"Hello, Muriel. How have things been?"
"Great! Lots of people come here to look at books. I never let them buy any, though. Mr. Crowley told me I couldn't."
"He did, did he?"
"Oh, yes! Very adamant about that. Couldn't sell anything. Said it was against the rules."
"Did he give you any other rules?"
"Well, there was the 'no selling books'. The 'opening hours have to be followed exactly as the sign says', which gets a little confusing. I 'can't move any of the book piles', he said you had a system of some sort? So, I couldn't really move anything. But he said it's alright for me to use the feather duster, because 'you needed to do that more often'."
Aziraphale rolled his eyes fondly. "Of course he did. I'm not surprised. He cleans and organizes things when he's stressed."
"Is that why he comes to clean so often?"
"It seems likely, yes. Um... How is he?"
"Mr. Crowley?"
Aziraphale nodded.
"Well, he's been acting a bit different, now that you mention it."
"How so?"
"He doesn't seem as grumpy. It's a bit weird, actually."
"So, if he isn't as grumpy, what is he like now?"
"Like something is missing... And he can never find it."
