Yellow

It's been two days since the little flirting in the backyard happened, and I'm freaking out here thinking if he meant everything he said. I won't ever lie. I totally find him so attractive whenever he's out going out to their practice wearing a plain black or white shirt every inch of his muscular arms hugged by his tight-fitting T-shirt then a gray or black sweatpants. And also Yes, I see him from my office window, I know you think I am a creep it just happens, okay? In my defense whenever I'm looking at the window he's there getting in his car, so I'm telling you I'm not a creep.

I know today is their first game in the quarter finals against the Lightning Bolts. How did I know? From my Best friend of course because she's been messaging me since last night to go with her and watch the game.

A.L: Yellow! Please go with me.

Me: Busy, with my book.

A.L: I know you are not, Come on Yellow.

She's right there's no progress on my writing even though I lock myself in this house. I still can't make any progress but one of the reasons I don't want to go and watch the game is I'm avoiding him. That guy is already attractive but when he is on the court playing his hotter and fucking more attractive that makes my panties wet. Crap! I did not just say that please forget I said that.

Me: I can't A.L

A.L: Yes, you can Yellow, I'll be there in 30 see you!

Me: I did not say yes! I did not agree to this Aurelia Leigh Collins!!!

A.L: You should also know how persistent I am and take no for an answer Yolane Willow Hartley.

I tossed my phone in my bed and sighed I should know. Now I'm going to watch their game which I'm trying to avoid tonight.

I showered and put on light make up. After I was standing in front of my closet, I found my black skort a short that with an overlapping fabric panel made to resemble a skirt covering the front, or a skirt with a pair of integral shorts hidden underneath. I paired it white halter top I found. Just put my hair in a high ponytail.

True to A.L words she arrives exactly thirty minutes late. I went out of my house and A.L's car was waiting for me. I hop in the passenger seat and buckle my seat belt. She is eyeing me.

"What?"

"Nothing, you are not definitely not busy. You had a good time dressing up, just wondering why you don't want to watch the game-" She pauses to start the car "- is it because what I told you last time about my brother? Did I make you feel awkward?"

Her brother Luke?

I laughed, "A.L you know it's nothing."

"Then what is it?" she asks. A question I can't answer. I can't tell her my attraction towards my single dad, a hot basketball player neighbor. That I am avoiding my neighbor.

I shake my head "Nothing truly A.L just about the book and the publisher you know, and you should also already my dear best friend that I'm not a fan of sports. The only reason I came with you is because you wouldn't take me seriously." I hope she buys the excuse.
