Punk Princess of WestChapter 1
Farrah
“Hello? Earth to Farrah?” I blinked my eyes as I heard Leticia’s laugh. “Nakikinig ka ba?” Tanong nito sa akin nang mapansing ‘di ako sumasagot.
“Ha? Ano ba ‘yun?” Napakamot ako sa aking ulo.
“Tambay raw sa Friday, sa bahay nina Chanler.” Oh right, I almost forgot.
Tumango ako at nag-thumbs up bilang tugon sa kaniyang sinabi.
“Ayun, G ang ating babygirl!” Tuwang-tuwang sabi ni Ybrahim.
“Can you stop calling me that?”
I get it, I may be the youngest on our friendgroup pero malinaw namang si Stacey ang pinaka-inosente sa amin.
“Chill, babygirl.”
Leticia barged in.
Ako at si Ybrahim?
Levi arrived holding two cups of coffee, inabot niya ang isa kay Leticia.
“‘Di ba acidic ka?” Tanong ni Ybrahim kay Leticia.
“Concerned ka?” Leticia flashed a wicked smile.
May something ba rito sa dalawa?
“It’s just hot choco.” Levi barged in.
“Sorry, I’m late.” Yesterday, he was with Piper– the cheerleader captain. Now, he’s with this girl that looks like a magazine model, she looks stunning with her straight jet black hair.
“Guys, this is Ivory.” Pakilala ni Simon sa amin. I smiled back when she smiled at me.
Simon’s a total player, a popular casanova in our campus. We repeatedly advised him to stop being a jerk but he just shrugs his shoulders and completely ignores our calls— so we just stopped and let karma take it over when the right time comes.
“Saan daw sa Friday?” Simon asked.
“Kayna Chanler.” I answered.
“Kasama ang babygirl.” I looked at Ybrahim sharply after what he said. “Oh, joke lang.” He said, tumaas ang gilid ng kaniyang labi before uttering something once again— “Babygirl.”
---
“Saan ka pupunta?” My brother, Fallen, suddenly asked.
“Kayna Chanler lang, Kuya.”
Kuya stared at me blankly, “Who’s driving you there?”
“Cab na lang ako.”
“It’s not safe, Farrah.”
“Then what do you suggest, Kuya?” I asked.
“Don’t leave—”
“Nah-uh” I cut him off.
