Punk Princess of WestChapter 15
Farrah
“How long will you stay here, ijo?” My mom asked Ybrahim.
“I really have no idea po, tita. Pero aalis din ako kapag nakahanap ako ng malilipatan.” Ybrahim smiled at her.
“You can stay as long as you want, hindi na rin iba ang pamilya niyo sa amin.” Dad said.
I just kept a smile on my face.
Sana ganiyan din sila sa akin.
I helped Ybrahim to unpack his things which earned a death stare from my brother.
“Kung nakamamatay ang titig, kanina pa ako rito nakahandusay.” Ybrahim joked.
“Huwag mo pansinin ‘yan si Kuya, ganiyan lang talaga ‘yan makatingin.” I argued.
“Wala naman siyang dapat ipag-alala, hindi naman ako si Chanler.” He looked away after saying that.
“Are you saying that me and Chanler are like a thing?” I asked.
“Ikaw nagsabi niyan.” He defended.
“Pero ayun ‘yung gusto mong iparating.”
“Hindi ko ‘yun gusto.” Natutop ang labi ko sa sinabi niya.
“Why are you suddenly acting like a brat?” I asked him straightforwardly.
“I’m not—”
“Yes you are!” Hindi ko mapigilang pagtaasan siya ng boses.
“You’re just imagining things—”
“And now you’re trying to gaslight me?”
Our argument ended by several knocks on the door.
“Pakihinaan naman ang boses niyo, may nag-aaral dito.” It was Kuya Fallen. “You two argue like an old couple—”
“We’re not!” Ybrahim and I said, in chorus.
“Okay.” Kuya left the door wide open.
“I’m not really fond of the idea of living near you.” Ybrahim sighed.
“Anong gusto mong iparating?” I asked, confused.
“I just don’t like seeing you with Chanler.” He said before heading out of the room.
Just like that, things are messy between the two of us once again; and the most fûcked up thing is, I have to see his face again and again and that’s inevitable for he lives with us now.
“Paano tayo magiging ayos kung iwas na iwas ka sa confrontation?” I mumbled.
“Ayos tayo, babygirl.”
When he left, I stood up and massaged my forehead.
“Babygirl pala ah.” To my horror, I saw Kuya Fallen, leaning on the doorway, crossing his arms with a wicked smile flashed on his lips.
---
“I thought you only see him as a brother?” Kuya kept pestering me as I try to finish my pending school works.
