"Um, I need to go to the bathroom," Katie whispered nervously, then running off. McKenzie exchanged looks with the rest of us, then shrugged.
"Boulder!" I screamed all of a sudden, pointing at a rock rolling at 200 miles a minute.
"Seriously, they come down here all the time. No need to fuss," McKenzie sighed. I caught a glimpse of something shiny flapping on the rock madly, something that looked exactly like the piece I was holding currently except for shape.
"It's the second piece," I gasped, and right when Trinity pleaded, "Melody, don't!", I lunged. I was lucky, because the boulder veered off course at the last second and I loosely grasped the flimsy rod.
"Don't ever, ever, EVER do that again!" Trinity ordered. McKenzie shrugged again.
"According to my cameras, the third piece is in the Forest of Fear. Any volunteers to go with me?" she asked. Katie then walked in, raising her eyebrows.
"Not going," she replied.
"Yo, totally!" Trinity volunteered, jumping up and down.
"I'll take a break for today, but this sounds fun," I shrugged, still breathing hard.
"Everything involves falling, and the Forest F is right below our feet," Katie observed, being the detailed person she is.
"Right," Trinity murmured. She pried open a hole in the ground and jumped in.
"Jeffrey Nunez was here," I observed, and went in after Trinity. McKenzie then followed.
"Spiders," Trinity muttered fearfully, backing away from a (spiderless) cemetery. McKenzie cried out loud, literally.
"Guys, don't move or we'll fall," she ordered.
I blinked as ghosts came alive, coming oh-so-quickly out of their graves. My breath caught when I realized they were trying to talk to me, to...to guide me.
"Stop it!" I yelled, and Trinity ran toward me while McKenzie turned slowly, then gasping and turning back.
I blinked, and just for one second, there was no cemetery, no ghosts. The image faltered, but it came back on again.
"It's a mirage, guys. Mack, what's whatever you're standing on made of?" I asked, figuring she had a fear of heights.
"Trident," she replied shakily.
"One spider looks like the Trident," Trinity, who's worst fear I easily guessed was spiders, admitted. One tombstone to me looked like a Trident piece.
"Okay, let's get it...." McKenzie said uncertainly. I nodded, and added, "On three."
"Yes, we got this...one two...THREE!" Trinity yelled.
"I didn't mean like that, but sure," I muttered.
We all ran for the same spot. McKenzie stumbled and I couldn't get past the ghosts, but Trinity had no trouble at all.
"Gotcha!" she cried triumphantly.
