Once they were back to safety, DJ finally had the chance to reconvene with his friends.
"Feels good to not be a prisoner, whew.." DJ remarked. "I'm also surprised James was able to drive with a broken arm. Wasn't that painful?"
"It was, but it's healing well so I felt like I could pull it off. Having just two people go on a mission as big as this really didn't sound safe at all, and I've been cooped up for a while anyways."
Kenji approached the group. "You all did well, but this isn't over until we have confirmation that the Online Division also made it back in one piece."
"I think they'll be ok." DJ shrugged. "You guys should've seen Purple. I'm 99% sure she took on both _nala and Chosen by herself.."
As the three friends chatted, Kayleigh walked up to Kenji. "Excuse me?"
"Yes?"
"If it's all the same to you.. is it ok if somebody can drive me home? I'd like to go get some rest.. and I would stay with you guys if I wasn't so crap at fighting."
"You can take the car."
"Woah, are you sure? Don't you need this?"
"It's too big to sneak around with, and we can't exactly wheel it into our shelter like a motorcycle. You can have it." Nonchalantly, he tossed her the keys.
"Thank you.." She smiled, walking over to the car and unlocking it. Pulling the front door open, she slipped into the driver's seat.
Taking notice, DJ walked over. Kayleigh rolled the window down and looked at him.
"Hey, I just wanted to say thanks real quick." DJ smiled.
"Pfft. If anything, I should be thanking you. I mean, you got me out of there in the first place."
"And you kept me company. Not to mention, you also gave me some very useful information. Wherever you're headed to, I wish you the best of luck." He held his fist out.
Igniting the car, she gladly bumped it. "Of course I will."
Without anything else to say, she pulled back onto the road and drove away. Having nothing more to do outside, the four retreated back inside.
...
Safely, the Online Division was able to retreat back to their desktop, with the addition of Other Red and Blue assisting them. Fortunately, both the Real Division and the Online Division arrived home at the same time. Kenji was the first one to make his way over to the computer. "So, you all made it back safely.. but why did you bring guards back with you?"
Other Green stumbled to his feet, supported by Purple. "They aren't guards anymore. It's hard to believe, I know."
Kenji just looked at them. "You know _nala's gonna be on your asses soon enough, right?"
"Perfectly aware." Other Blue shrugged.
"So.. are you going back to the Sanctuary or do you have any plans to join us?" Other Green asked.
