"Sakha," I called him.
"Is that why I feel something when I look at Rajamata Kunti? Is that why I wanted to bow down to her and respect her?" he sobbed kneeling on the ground.
"Yes, my dear, son. That's why even I feel something when I look at you, my dear, Karna." Mata Kunti walked towards us.
"Rajamata?" Karna exclaimed.
"I'm here for you, my Karna," she said.
"I'll leave you both alone." I walked away from them.

I stood in front of Bhagavan Surya and prayed for his well-being. That's all I'd want for my Sakha.

"Dhaksha?" I heard a voice.
"Pitamah?" I turned towards him.
"How are you doing, my child?" he smiled at me.
"Pitamah?" my eyes started to well up with tears.
"Will you forgive this Oldman?" he asked me.
I turned to the other side and went silent.
"You are the Kolavathu of Hastinapur, Dhaksha. You are the Supreme Goddess of the universe. We should've worshipped you but instead, we did a huge sin." he said.
"Will you forgive this Oldman?" he asked me again.
"How are you, Pitamah? Are you doing good?" I smiled at him.
"You can't forgive me. I know it, Dhaksha. I'm ready to accept my death, my child. Even if you kill this old man in this place. I'm ready to accept it. Do it." he said.
"It's been 13 years. The wounds on my skin have vanished. But the wound in my heart and soul, it's still there. They have attacked my soul, Pitamah. It's not ready to heal yet."
"I'm ashamed to even stand in front of you, Dhaksha. But, I wanted to talk to you for the last time."
"You are wise enough to know that this matter is beyond our hands. Now it's in the hands of fate, the universe and the god himself. I can't do anything."
"I'm not asking you to do anything. I know that the war is going to start. This Pitamah will become your enemy soon."
"That's wrong, Pitamah. You still hold a special place in my heart and my husband's heart. You are tied up to Hastinapur. I know that."
"I heard that you are going to conduct my great-great grandsons's marriage," he asked me.
"That's true, Pitamah."
"Let this old man get happy by watching them get married and be happy for one last time." he joined his hands.
"Pitamah, you can't do this. Your presence means a lot to me and the Pandavas. I thought you wouldn't want to come to the Vivaha."
"Thank you, Dhaksha." he smiled at me.
"I'll see you at the marriage, Pitamah." I smiled at him.
"Bless me, Pitamah," I bowed my head.
"Vijayi Bhava." he blessed me.

That's when I noticed Karna walking away from Mata Kunti from a distance.  I ran towards him to stop him.
"Karna, stop. Where do you think you are going?" I shouted at him.
He stopped walking and stood there.

"What do you want, Dhaksha?" he asked me.
"What?"
"Even you hid the fact that I'm their Eldest brother, Right?" he asked me.
"Sakha, I've promised my brother not to tell anyone."
"Even I've promised Duruyodhana that I'll stand next to him."
"What do you mean?" I raised my voice.
"Dhaksha. Dhaksha." he started to cry.
"Karna, calm down. Please calm down." I tried to console him.
"I'm under a lot of stress, Dhaksha. Please help me from this. Please." he kneeled.
"I'm here for you. Calm down, Sakha." I held his shoulder.
"I'm sorry, Sakhi. I've failed as a friend."
"That's not true. You are the finest friend."
"Don't think anything, Karna. You are stressed now, you can't think straight now. Take your time, sit and think patiently." I wipe his tears.
"What's there to think? There is nothing to think." he turned to the other side.
"Can you at least come to my son's Vivaha?"
"Vivaha?" he turned towards me and wiped his tears.
"That'll make you feel better, right? I've invited Pitamah too. You can accompany him and attend the Vivaha. Can you?" I asked him.
"I'll be happy, Sakhi," he replied.
"Good then." I smiled
We got up and dusted the sand on us.
"Dhaksha," he called out for me in a soft tone.
"What, Karna?"
"I've certainly started to love you like I love my mother Radhai. You are my happy place, Dhaksha." he smiled at me. "I'll apologize to you if I've made you feel bad."
"You did nothing, My Sakha." I smiled at him.
"I'm leaving and Don't ever tell my secret to anyone. Even to your Duruyan."
"My Duruyan? Is he my lover?" he chuckled.
"You both act like lovers," I replied.
"What did you say?"
"Love-Dovey lovers."
He looked down and started to laugh.
"Keep laughing like this, Suryaputra."
"With you by my side, I'll do it."
