Her love and devotion for the epic history of Mahabharata led her to travel to the past, the era of Mahabharata Dwapara Yug. As the sister of Krishna, our Dhaksha is here to discover her destiny in this epic story.
What tragedies will she encounter...
My eyes shifted from Kanha Na and landed on the yati
He was tall and clothed in brown robes, rudrakshas around his arms and neck. His hair was long and hung down to his waist and his beard and moustache were covered all over.
"Come in," I said.
He smiled back at me. I have seen this yati somewhere.
His skin was pale dusky colour. I could tell the texture would be so smooth. My thoughts shifted back to Arjuna. I thought his eyes were the single most exquisite eyes I've ever seen. But this Yati had the same.
"Dhaksha, Did you become a pervert for admiring guys at Dvapara Yuga?"
"I am sure Dhaksha will be honoured to take care of you," Kanha said. "Dhaksha? Are you here?" Balram na called out for me. "Yeah. I'd be pleased to serve him." I smiled back. "Please come with me," I gestured for him.
Arjuna's pov
Dhaksha stood staring at me. I was a little embarrassed to stand in front of her with this huge mass of beard and my long hair.
"I didn't know Dhaksha had the patience and the good heart to serve yatis. She seemed calm and polite too. She was only rude to me indeed."
(After some time)
I roved around the garden and then rested my eyes on her again. Every time my eyes rested on her, my heart felt weak and my body got shivers. Why am I being drawn to some random woman whom I met once or twice?
I moved closer to take a look at her. She was admiring the lilies in the garden. Now I know why she always smelled like lilies.
Dhaksha's Pov
"Please sit down," I said
I sat down beside his foot and called out for the maids to bring the plates and the flowers to wash his feet.
I started to wash his feet. I could feel that the Yati kept staring at me. "I wouldn't have imagined that a yati would have such soft feet."
'I guess you are hungry?" I said after washing his feet. 'Yes, Lady,' he looked straight into my eyes.
He sat in silence after he finished eating his meals.
"Can you say some stories for me?" I asked curiously. He told me many stories about Lords and many other deities. "If you're so interested in my yatras, I would love to teach you. How about the magic of Dhyan? "He asked
"I think I should learn how to control my feelings."
"Yes. I would love to. I wanna learn how to control my feelings. Is there any Dhyan for that?" I smiled at him. "Why do you wanna control your feelings? Don't you wanna feel it?" he asked me. "Well, I feel like I don't wanna let my heart sway. It's not necessary." "Are you in love?" he gazed into my eyes. "No, I'm not in love." I nodded my head. "Are you sure? You sound like a person who lost her heart," he asked. "It's just a mere attraction. It's not love," I replied. "If it was a mere attraction why can't you not control your feeling?" he smiled at me.
"He's right. But it's not possible for me to like him."
"Express your feelings to the person you like. Don't control it and regret it later," he moved closer.
"If I was really in love with him. Why would I be drawn to this yati? When my heart is with him I won't be drawn to others. So it's just an attraction which would fade away soon."
"Yeah, sure." I smiled at him and walked away.
I bumped into someone.
"Why aren't you in your chambers?" Kanha stopped me. "I was with the Yati," I replied. "Why washing his feet would take a long time?" he asked, controlling his laughter.
I guess he knew that I'd been admiring a yati.
"No, I wanted to make sure that he was doing good," I replied. "Is it? Okay now go to your room," he said while controlling his laughter. "Bhaiya," I called out. "Is there anything you wanna ask this Krishn?" he asked me. "It's about the yatis. He seems familiar and strange, Bhaiya." "I don't think he looks strange." he nodded his head "He seems familiar then." "No, my dear. I can't tell you anything about him. I've promised that I won't reveal his identity. Now go sleep." "Alright. I'll find it out myself. I don't need your help. Good night, Krishna." I walked away. "All the best." he shouted back.
The days passed with the Yatis as I was growing closer and closer to him. We shared our childhood stories, he made me meditate. I was being drawn to him even more.
Arjuna's pov
Every day, every second with her was amusing to me. I was astounded by the fact that Dhaksha had a soft and calm side. I wanted to tell her that I was Arjuna, the one who you treated so bad with your bad attitude. Sometimes, I felt bad that she treated a yati so good but on the other hand all she did was being rude to me.
"These are my portraits. This is my Bhaiya and his flute. This is our Dwaraka's lily garden." she rolled her eyes in excitement.
I could not help but gaze at her. "Why can't she identify me already?" "What is that painting?" I pointed at the painting with gold frame cover with a piece of silk cloth. "It's a.. painting of our cows at Dwaraka." She hid the portrait.
I could see a glimpse of the painting through the transparent silk cloth. It seemed like a bow's handle. "It's a cow?" I exclaimed. "Well that is my..."
