"Dhaksha?" He turned to me.
"It was Suryaputra Karna."

"Sakha?," I said

"Sakha?," I said.
"What is happening? Is he here or the birds are making me see him?"
"Come, sit down. This lake is beautiful, isn't it?" He sat down.
"Why didn't you tell me that you were not in the courtroom?" I sat down.
He kept staring at the lake and remained silent.
"Don't be silent, Sakha. Answer my question." I asked.
"This is peaceful, Sakhi. The lake, the sound and the birds," he replied.
"I'm sorry, Karna. I didn't know that you weren't there at the Raja Sabha. I used harsh words-"
"Do you think I came all the way here to make you apologize?" he asked me.
"I did it, Dhaksha. After I saw you like that in Draupadi's hands, my blood boiled. I kicked him, Dhaksha." he raised his voice.
"What? Who?"
"I kicked Dhushasana to the ground. He was the one who did that, right?" he asked me.
"You did that, Karna?"
"Oh, my lord. Why were even mad at him?"
"But, I couldn't do anything else, Sakhi. My hands are tied to Dharma. I'm losing my mind."
"Karna, calm down."
"I have Duruyodhana on this side and my promise. I have you on the other side, my Sakhi for life. What will I do, Dhaksha?" he asked.
"I don't know why fate wanted us on the different side."
"Promise me, Dhaksha. That you would follow Dharma always. No matter which side I'm in." he asked me.
"What?" I exclaimed.

All of a sudden, an arrow struck his neck and made him fall.
"Karna? Sakha? Who shot you?"I looked around.
"Let's go to the palace. Nakula and Sahadev will heal you." I sobbed holding my hands against the arrow.
"I told you, right? I'll wait for you to forgive me till the death. I'm glad it happened today." he smiled at me.

I started to shout for help and I looked down to see no one. He was not even there. There was no blood, no stains on my hands. Everything was gone.
Slowly my eyesight started to fade and it went black.

"The fear of losing can make a calm mind restless," I heard Kanha Na's voice*

Meanwhile in Anga:

Karna's pov

"Karna, my Sakha. I can't let you die come let's go to the palace. Sahadev and Nakul would heal you." Dhaksha shouted.
"Sakhi!!" I woke up from sleep.
"Was it a dream?"
"What happened, Aiyanae?" Vrushali asked.
"I had a dream of being struck by an arrow. Dhaksha was there beside me too."
"What? Why are you stressing yourself? She's Dhaksha. She's your Sakhi of life and you're her Sakha of life. The whole world knows that. She'll forgive you, my Karna. It's just a nightmare. " she said
"No, Vrushal. It's not a nightmare. It's a good dream. She forgave me, my dear. I don't care about the arrow."

"Dhaksha is so lucky to have you. I didn't have a Sakha/Sakhi like you. Now sleep peacefully, Aarya." she held my shoulders.
I hope this will become true one day.

"Why would she go behind a bird? What's wrong with her, Panchali?" I heard Arjuna's voice as I regained consciousness.
"Let's ask her, Arjuna. We'll know what happened to her." Bheem na said.
"Calm down, Aarya," Draupadi said.
"Sakhi?" I called her out.
"Are you awake, Sakhi?" Draupadi asked.
"Dhaksha, who did this to you? Why would you get into trouble, my dear?" Bheem asked.
"I ran behind the birds and slipped beside the lake. That's why I lost my consciousness." I replied.
"Why would you go behind a bird? Aren't you acting like a kid? Do you expect me to follow you everywhere you go? Do you know how worried I was?" he raised his voice for the first time.
"I'm sorry for being the trouble. I'm sorry for being a burden." I ran to my chambers.
