Guess The Folding Fan Art Language Lonnie picked a random position in which she stood in her living room, settling a folding fan in her hand into the correct position. She had been playing this game of silent charades with Ben every year.
"It's in your right hand that you are carrying it, so that means you are too willing!" guessed Ben.
"Nice job, Ben!" complimented Lonnie. "Third try's a charm for you."
"Try remembering this one." She positioned the fan, drawing it across her eye, waiting for Ben to guess the words. "'I am sorry,' which is exactly what the gesture means." These two took this game as a little lighthearted fun; they said words but never really touched each other, remaining mutual best friends. Lonnie taught him this game so he would have easier caution signs to recognize.
"I'm sorry, that's what it means," gasped Ben, remembering. "Do more! Give me something tougher till we go through all the options, Lonnie."
"Okay!" Lonnie said, holding the fan in her right hand in front of her face. "What about this one?"
Ben thought hard. "That means follow me?"
"Close! It means desirous to make acquaintances!" she corrected.
"Got it! Let's see the next one," he encouraged.
Lonnie let the fan rest on her left cheek. "What does this mean?"
"That means no!" he answered confidently.
"Correct!" Lonnie cheered. "Now how about this one?" She placed the fan behind her head.
Ben grinned. "That means don't forget me!"
"Spot on! And now..." She fanned herself quickly. "What about this?"
Ben's eyes widened. "That means you're engaged!"
"Yes, exactly! Now, how about this?" She let the fan rest on her right cheek.
"That means yes!" Ben exclaimed.
"Right again! You're really getting the hang of this! Now let's try this one." Lonnie let the fan droop dramatically.
"That means we will be friends!" Ben guessed eagerly.
"Correct! Now here's another." She held the fan open wide.
Ben contemplated. "That means wait for me?"
"Good! And this one?" she asked as she twirled the fan in her right hand.
"That means I love another!"
"That's right! Now let's see if you can guess this." She drew the fan across her cheek.
Ben took a moment to think. "I love you?"
"Correct!" Lonnie smiled. "And how about this one?" She let the fan drop onto the floor.
