Chapter 54: Shed The Cloak of External Negativity

The Cleansing Princess stands there, towering over Musa; her tiger-striped cape billows, and electric green, moss-like hair cascades around her. Her aura emits a blinding white-brown glow, a stark contrast to Musa's prone form. "You have had yet to see nature rebel against your stupid actions, Musa, well now I am about to change that as a tiger witch huntress; magic of the sun and the earth are powers I am allowed to wield." Musa remains lying upon her back, unable to move, her sword—the very weapon Uma and Lonnie try to teach her to use instead of her magic—sits conspicuously before her, right at the witch's feet. She meets the witch's brown green eyes behind the mask, and due to an askewity in her brain, she does not perceive a guardian; she sees an older, familiar enemy, one capable of becoming just as loud, a roar of justice for everyone in the kingdom to hear here in Minglania. The witch's eyes then turn purple, a flashback transitional reference to a spy charm from one of the Trix.

A roof battle, a secret only a Pixie and her Princess know about, unfolds in Musa's mind. "I was sure I thought I saw one of those sphere thing-eys come up here," Musa addresses Stormy, interrupting the witch's spy chant. Stormy stands up nonchalantly, placing one hand on her hip and sighing in a calm tone, almost pleased. "You know, you've got a lot of guts coming up here alone but thank you because I was getting really, really bored. Ha!" Storm clouds begin to form in the distant sky, and she laughs again, "Ah-ha-ha!" her amusement palpable rather than menacing.

"Alright, Stormy, no more free shows for your witchy spies! Magic Winx!" Musa exclaims, transforming back into her Charmix fairy state. "I will blast you, little girl!" Stormy declares, a boast more than a direct threat, ready to demonstrate her prowess. "Musa, look out!" Tune warns her, as Stormy's lightning strike hurtles towards her, which Musa deftly dodges. "Don't worry," Musa states, taking her time, for once in her life, to think things through instead of just saying and doing random stuff that never matches each other. "I have an idea!"

Musa taps her feet and begins chanting, initiating a ritual rain dance, a magic rooted deep in her world. Stormy keeps laughing, completely unfazed and thoroughly amused. "Think you can overpower my control of the clouds with a ridiculous Rain Dance?!" she taunts, her voice dripping with playful scorn. Stormy throws another lightning blast, more as a daring challenge than a true blow, and it knocks Musa off her feet. Musa doesn't stand back up immediately; she just lies there, momentarily stunned after Stormy's test.

"What a fool," Stormy remarks, a touch of arrogance in her tone, yet still lacking true malice as she observes Musa. Musa glares at her, though, and with surprising resilience, she stands back up onto her feet, conjuring another sound wave spell while continuing the ritual chant. "Bass Boost!" she proclaims. The offensive spell, however, barely affects Stormy; it doesn't even claim significant damage against the Storm Witch, merely knocking her off her feet momentarily. Stormy chuckles again, unfazed. "You'll never get to the end of that spell!"

Musa, undeterred, continues the Rain Dance Chant, and Stormy remains thoroughly entertained by this unexpected turn. "That's it, girl; light up my life! Sing for me! Keep going, maybe you'll manage to lull me to sleep!" she encourages, her tone mocking, yet still devoid of true hostility, savoring the peculiar battle. But then, the roar of the clouds above begins to dissipate, silenced by Musa's persistent rhythm. Only then does Stormy's tone change, a hint of surprise replacing her amusement. "Hey, she used the rain dance to soothe my storm!"

"You're Defenseless!" Musa exclaims, seizing the moment. She conjures another music spell, "Power Chord!" It makes a resounding clanking sound that violently shoves Stormy off the roof, sending her unceremoniously flying into the courtyard grass below. "How dare you try such a cheap trick, you fool!" Stormy snaps, her anger now ignited by being outsmarted and humiliated rather than any deep-seated aggression. "I'll break your spell once and for all, Musa!" The noise of Musa's second spell wakes some younger Alfea fairy students, just in time to witness Stormy vanish from the courtyard in a fit of pique.
