"i'm so so soooo glad that we're together in mythology 'sami!" you grinned, jumping in place from excitement. the click-clacks of your heels echoed loudly in the empty hallway.
"it would've been cool if we were together for screenwriting and literature too, but it's okay. i'll tell you everything beforehand so you can study ahead of time. who knows, maybe you'll get a better grade than me!" you giggled, bumping your hip against hers.
"sure."
chigiri looked at your shoes for the day, raising a brow. these were shorter than the ones you usually wore.
"oh, you've noticed them! they're cute, right, chi?" you twirled, "kitten heels are soooo in right now! very stylish." you plopped down on a random bench near the cafeteria.
"they are cute." he admitted. they looked comfortable too. "where'd you get them?"
he was getting tired of asami's stilettos, so he was actively looking for some new replacements. she also had those shoes with open fronts, which were his biggest enemies. he made the mistake to wear them on his first day, and his toes practically wiped the floor.
"i wanted to get some for you, you know?" you asked gently, making chigiri's eyes widen in surprise. "...that's really nice of you, but you don't need—"
"—but i noticed that your thighs aren't the only thing that grew over the summer." you laughed at your own joke, elbowing asami.
chigiri deadpanned, offended by your statement.
"that's why i'll have to note down your new size today." you proclaimed.
hyoma hummed absentmindedly in response, before freezing.
"hold on. today?" "uh, yeah? we always go to that one mall in ginza on wednesdays... don't tell me you 'forgot' again, chi!" you patted her back, unbothered by her weird behaviour.
"anyways. point is, i'm getting you a pair of kitten heels today so we could match."
usually, chigiri would say no. he hated the way you would always pay for everything like he was some poor peasant. did asami really let herself be insulted like that? but now, he decided that he wanted to make you pay up, so he just said: "okay."
your eyes suddenly got glossy, and you turned around to face your best friend.
"look, chi. there's something i've been meaning to ask you."
