Chapter 11 Home Again

Ash's POV

I watched as Nikki walked to her house. Once she walked inside I said goodbye to Felix and grabbed my bag and walked to my house. I walked right in, my house was cold, It never felt like home. I walked in and saw my parents sitting in the living room. My mom was sewing with more bruises then I remember when I left, she looked so pale. I glanced over at my dad, he was on the phone talking about, how we need to invest in some bull crap project. I walked up the stairs and through my bag to my bed, I decided that I would unpack later.

I walked down the stairs, my mom looked up from what she was doing and saw me, relief flooded her face. She got up quickly and ran towards me, "Ash!" she immediately wrapped her arms around my neck. I hugged her back not wanting to let go. She pulled away and cupped my face, she smiled down at me, "I'm glad your home," She whispered.

I pulled her close to me and whispered, "Me too," She pulled back and tapped my father on the shoulder. He looked up from his lap top, and glared at her, "I'm busy right now Regina!"

She moved away a little bit, "Ash is back, Ashton. You should say hello," I looked at my mom in surprise. She never told my father to do anything. He looked at her in shock

"WHAT?!" My father stood up and grabbed my mom by her hair. Tossing her to the couch, my mom whimpered in pain and grabbed her head trying to stop the pain, "don't tell me what to do!" My mom quickly nodded her head. My father looked away from my mom and looked at me

"Where have you been?!" He yelled making me flinch. I hate giving this power over me. I'm stronger than him. I need to stand up for me and my mother, I need to get her away from him.

"I told you," I said looking him in the eye

"No you didn't Ash, you said," he said pulling out his phone, "and I quote, "Be back soon, don't wait up for me." See Ash that does not say where you went, so?!"

"I went on a road trip," I said simply

"Okay, Where and with who?"

I looked at the ground, "My friends,"

My father walked to me and kicked me in the knee. I fell to the ground holding my knee,

"DON'T SASS ME BOY! JUST TELL ME WHO AND WHERE YOU WENT!" I bent my knee a little to check if it was broken, luckily it wasn't. I got up and looked him in the eye, he was fuming in anger

"I went to Utah, with Felix and...," I looked away from my dad and at my mom who was pale, and had fear in her eyes

"And?!"

"Andnikkiever," I mumbled looking at the ground

"Ash Black, look at me when you're talking to me!" he grabbed my chin and forced me to look at him, "Who else was there Ash?!"

"NIKKI EVER!" I pushed my father away from me. He stumbled back in surprise. My eyes widened in shock. 'I can't believe I did that?!' I thought to myself, "Dad, I'm so-," I was cut off by my dad punching me in the face. I fell back to the floor, crying out in pain.

"You think you can touch me?!" My dad yelled at me. He kicked me in the stomach repeatedly. He kept pounding on me like I was a chew toy. I heard my mom cry out to my dad,
