I grabbed some stationary and began to write

I have so much to tell you Nik. I got on the football team for Southridge High School. I know what you're going to say, but just listen to me. Southridge is a way better school then Northridge, and I'm not being biased. They have a better fine arts department, and have the best academic scores in the nation!

I'm giving my offer again, transfer here next year. Come on it's going to be your senior year, so you might as well have some fun.

Nikki I'm so glad that you have been a live for 17 years, almost. I know I sent this letter early but I wanted to make sure you got it. I have a big surprise for you! But you have to wait for it, trust me it's worth the wait.

I put the envelope in the mailbox and kissed it for good luck! I hope she gets it in time.

I woke to my alarm blaring in my ears I jumped up and turned it off. It was exactly 8:05. I had about and hour and five minutes to get ready. That's all the time I need.

I hopped into a quick shower and put my hair into a blue beanie, which is Nikki's favorite color for your information. I slipped on a long sleeve shirt and pulled on some nice jeans.

I texted Ash,

Felix:
"Hey dude, I don't know if you'll get this in time but I'm going to go to the mall with Sam, Charlie and of course Nikki. I was wondering if you would be interested in coming. Meet us there at 10:30"

I sent the message and went downstairs. I grabbed my car keys and was out the door without a second glance at my mom and dad fighting in the kitchen. I hopped into my car and drove to the mall.

I'm going to surprise Nikki with her friends. I haven't seen her in at least 3 years. Yeah, wow! We have both been busy, I need to keep my grades up to get into UVU (Utah Valley University), and Nikki has been working her tush off to get a full ride scholarship to UoU (Utah University).

I really hope she gets in, she deserves the best. And I hope to give that to her. I may not be honest all of the time but I'm there when she needs me the most. Nikki Ever and I have been best friends ever since pre-school.

I know everything about her, I know she likes blue. She wants to major in medicine. She loves/great with kids. She has a birthmark on the bottom of her back. She has a scar on her leg from 7 stitches, Ash pushed her off the playground in Kindergarten.

Ash and I on the other hand have taken sometime to get used to. We didn't like each other in Elementary school, but when we hit Middle school something happened. I could relate to him more, he parents have been fighting longer than mine have.

We have looked out for one another forever. But then Nikki cam into the picture, Ash hates Nikki. But I know he doesn't hate her he just doesn't understand her. And Nikki just thinks that Ash is annoying, which he totally is. But it's not hate.

I pulled into the mall driveway and sat and waited for the girls to show up. It was about 3 minutes later I saw Sam's white car pull in and park opposite side of me. She looked at me and winked, she turned around in her seat and began talking to somebody behind her.

She turned around and gave me a thumbs up, I shook my head and took a deep breath. I pushed the door open and was greeted by the heat of the California weather.
