Chapter 14 Hi Dad...

Day 4

"Hi Dad..." Ash said in a low voice. I grabbed his hand in fear, he looked down at me with sadness and fear written all over his face, "What do you want?"

"I was coming to check on your mother Ash," He said walking to us

"Why do you care?"

"Because she is my wife Ash, and believe it or not I care about her,"

"Bull crap! You don't care about her,"

"Yes I do Ash! She is my wife and YOUR mother!" He yelled. His eyes flicked towards me, "what are you doing with the slut, Ash?!" He grabbed my arm and pushed me towards him

"Don't call her that!" Ash said looking away from his father. He's cowering?! Seriously?! This freak is hurting me and he is just standing there not looking at what his dad is doing to me!

"Are you scared son?" His father said walking towards Ash. He clenched his fist and looked like he was going to hit Ash. But the fist hit me instead, I fell to the ground holding my nose

"Ash," I said in a low voice. He looked at me, then at his father. He turned away from us and went back into the hospital, without a second glance

"Foolish boy," Ash's dad said picking me up off the ground by my hair. I howled in pain, but his hand suddenly covered my mouth stopping the sound from coming out, "Shh, you wouldn't want me to have to kill you, would you?" I shook my head and closed my eyes tightly as I felt him push me closer to him, if that was even possible.

"Good," his voice reeks of alcohol and tobacco, "since you are no use to me and my son, I think I'm going to kill you know," my eyes shot open and I pushed him away

"No please don't!"

"Wow Nikki you sound so weak! Come on beat him up!"

My inner voice needs to learn to shut up once in awhile! I backed away from him, "you promised you wouldn't hurt me,"

He stopped walking towards me and gave me a look of confusion, "when did I say that?" I was about to open my mouth when he cut me off, "wait- I really don't care I'm going to kill you because I can,"

I slipped and fell on my bum. He laughed at me and took out a switch blade.

"He's crazy!"

I know. I stared up at him in shock. He brought it above his head, I closed my eyes and waited for the pain of the blade in my stomach. But that pain never came. I opened my eyes to see, Ash? He was looking down at me with pain in his eyes

"Ash what's wrong?" I asked standing up. Ash's father came from behind him and pinned me to the wall, "don't talk to him you slut!"

A tear escaped my eye, "Ash please stop this! Please you are nothing like him!"

"Oh but sweetheart, he is some much like me he just needs to stop fighting that side of him,"

"What side of him?" I asked

"The side where he just wants to kill anybody who gets in his way," he whispered into my ear. A gasp escaped my mouth and my eyes flickered to Ash who was looking at the ground, "So I'm going to let Ash do the honors of killing you! Won't that be fun?!" His dad said in a low whisper
