Chapter 4 The Mall

We pulled into the mall parking lot. Charlie got out right away, but Sam stayed inside the car, she winked at somebody in front of her. Then she turned around to me

"I'm sorry that I didn't tell you about Ash coming, I should have,"

"Yeah, you should have. If I knew that he was going to come I would have dressed like a hobo, not like a supermodel,"

"I'm pretty sure you're going to be happy that you dressed like that," she said pointing to my clothes, "then looking like a homeless person,"

"Why?"

"Oh, nothing, I just have a HUGE surprise for you,"

"Really what is it?!" I said moving closer to her

"Nope I'm not telling you," she said folding her arms, "you'll just have to wait. And you have to get out of the car,"

I huffed in frustration, "Fine! But you owe my big time!"

She smiled at me, "good, and I know, lets go," she turned back around in her seat and gave a thumbs up to somebody across from her

"What was that for?" I asked

She turned back around with a small smirk on her face, "oh, you'll see. Now get out of the car,"

I rolled my eyes and jumped out of the car. The California weather was hot and very humid, but I loved it! I would rather live in someplace that's always hot rather than a place that's always cold. I closed my door and looked at Sam, who was grinning like a manic.

"What's with the gr-," she moved out of the way and I saw Felix standing in front of me, in all of his glory, "Felix?!" I asked

"How's it going, Nik?" He said. His voice was low but gentle it made my stomach erupt into butterflies. Without even thinking, I ran to him. I through my arms around his neck and held him tight. He wrapped his hands around my waist, and I felt safe.

"I missed you so much," I whispered in his ear. He held me tighter, "I missed you too Nik,"

I pushed him away and smiled at him. He flashed me the most award winning smile. It made me melt inside.

"What are you doing here?! Aren't you suppose to go to Utah to cheek out UVU?" I asked

"Yeah, I was suppose to go to Utah, but I couldn't leave my best friend alone on her birthday! What type of friend would I be if I did that?!" He placed his hand on his heart

"You should have gone to Utah, who knows what your parents will think if they find out that you didn't go to Utah?!"

He shrugged his shoulders, "whatever they didn't even notice me leave so I think I'm in the clear," he winked at me. Which made me blush I looked away from him and back at Sam who was grinning

"Thanks for not telling me," I said to Sam

"See I knew you would like it!" She said walking over to me and giving me a big hug. I looked past her and saw Ash staring at Felix and I, I thought I saw rage in his eyes.

I felt a hand go around my waist and pull me away from Sam, "she's here with me remember?" Felix said to Sam. She held her hands up in surrender, "okay, okay take her,"

"Thank you," he said I turned around and grabbed his hand, entwining out fingers together

"Come on, let's go have some fun," Felix said smirking at me. I looked away from him, blushing

"Can you guys stop being so hormonal and walk," I looked behind me to see Ash looking at Felix and I with pure hatred, "fine don't move," and with that he walked right In between Felix and I, making Felix let go of my hand. I was furious! I walked away from Felix towards Ash. Suddenly I felt Felix put his hand back into mine
